Role of teams in the achievement of desired objectives Teams play a vital and crucial role in the achievement of desired objectives and results. In this regard, it is very imperative that teams should be developed in an efficient manner, as incapability of building an effective team may result in the failure of project. In addition, it is significant that team members should understand each other, in order to work comfortably for the single objective while having different tasks. In the past, I had the opportunity to create a team for a specific project during my final year audit job at Ernst &Young.

Creation of the team was an adventurous task, as every individual possesses different and diverse abilities and characteristics, and thus, such a task results in the understanding and identification of different traits of people around you. In specific, five senior associates and two junior associates including were the part of our team. In all, I had the advantage of knowing the client already due to my couple of review and interim visits that facilitated me in understanding prospects of the client.

My understanding of cultural and intellectual diversity facilitated me during the creation of the team, and as I respect every individual in terms of intellectual and academic maturity, I was able to identify specific traits that were required for the completion of particular tasks and responsibilities. For instance, one of my colleagues in the team was quite disappointed for not being the team leader and an unhappy member was a disadvantage for the team. In order to motivate him, I included him during various decision-making discussions, which provided him with emotional and professional motivation, and thus, helped our team in achieving our objectives more efficiently.

Subsequently, I continued to motivate my team members at the field by participating in their work, which was necessary to evaluate them. A number of challenges were confronted, which were resolved by my academic capabilities and understanding of interests of individual members of the team. Finally, our team was able to achieve the objective successfully, which motivated all the team members to participate in such events in the future also. Additionally, my colleague thanked me for being an ambitious and motivational leader, as I was able to transform an unhappy member into motivated participant.

Lastly, my experience of developing a team was adventurous, decent, and learning, which enhanced my personality and capabilities as a team leader, as well as, a colleague, which will be beneficial for my classmates in your reputable educational institution.
