The Meaning of Sex and Money according to Ayn Rands Philosophy Meaning of Sex Sex is a physical capa and its exercise is determined by a man’s mind by his choice of values held consciously and unconsciously over time whenever he is in love. Sex is an appearance of self-confidence to a rational man hence his choice of the woman is very vital for his status in the society (Rand 99). To a man who lacks self-confidence, sex is an endeavor to fake it hence acquires its brief delusion in order to be in the same level with others in the society.

A man sexual choice is the results of the sum of his fundamental convictions hence can be used to gauge his entire philosophy of life thus he should make a good choice of a woman. Sex is the most important part of human life and thus should never be approached casually lest you fall into several problems, not because it’s evil but because it’s too good and too important. Sex should involve a very serious relationship since it involves a very important part of human life. Sex should be practiced with caution whether the relationship leads to marriage or not as that is a matter to be decided by the involved parties in the relationship (Rand 101) Marriage is a very important institution hence it should be a preserve for those who find partner in which they can comfortably stay with for permanent enjoyment.

People who choose wrong partner for marriage may end up living a very miserable life which is equally hard to reverse. The parties in the relationship leading to marriage should take their relationship very seriously to enable them overcome temptations which may lead to their downfall. Promiscuity is immoral since sex is a very important aspect of human life to be taken for granted due to the repercussions that comes with its abuse. Sexual relationship is only proper if the parties involve appreciate the highest values with which its associated with.

Love is attached to sex and it’s the response of our highest values between a man and a woman without faking a sense of self-esteem. Sex is an act which forces a man to stand naked in his spirit and body thus controlling his ego hence is worthy of being appreciated. Sex is very selfish human act since it is mainly practiced for personal enjoyment with less caring for the other. Sex is a physical capacity where the body creates a desire to make a choice for personal enjoyment to satisfy his constant human needs (Rand 99).

Meaning of Money Money is the tool used by those who have reached a high level of productivity and control over their lives hence is able to achieve the luxury which comes with it (Rand 88). Money possess the desired characteristics of imperishable, easy to store and rare commodity and this makes those who want to possess it to work extremely hard and smart in order to earn and retain it. Money acts as the best source of payment for any product desired by the buyer. Nothing can transform these pieces of paper in the wallet to bread in order to survive tomorrow but they act as a token of honor for a job well done.

A person only gets money after working and sweating for it (Rand 91). According to Rand, those who claim that money is made for the strong at the expense of the weak are wrong since money can hardly be earned by the strength of guns or muscles. He further argues that wealth is the product of man’s capability to think hence those who cannot think critically cannot become wealthy. According to Rand, a honest man is the one who knows that he can’t consume more than he has produced and thus works hard and smart to get all the money he needs to survive.

Money makes men to engage it trade hence making them achieve the best products in exchange of their hard earned money. The degree of a man’s productiveness is measured through how much wealth and money he can acquire hence cannot be considered evil (Rand 91). According to Rand, money is a tool which can take you wherever you wish by giving you the means of satisfaction a man desires at any time he wishes. Rand also argues that money cannot purchase happiness for the man who has no concept of what he has and at the same time cannot but intelligence for a fool.

He further argues that money is a means of survival that pronounces the source of livelihood and if the source is corrupts, your own existence is dammed. He finalizes that you should run for your life for the person who tells you than money is evil since this is a sentence of a leper’s bell of an imminent raider. Those who cannot view money as the root of good are asking for their own destruction and should thus change. Work Cited Rand, Ayn. For the New Intellectual: The Philosophy of Ayn Rand.
