A key challenge faced by nursing staff in health care professions is dealing with challenging behaviors exhibited by people with learning disabilities (Walsh and Wigens, 2003, p. 12). The staff concerned with taking care of people with learning disabilities is particularly vulnerable to verbal and physical aggression that can lead to emotional and physical strain on the nursing staff.

Soft tissue ankle injuries can be defined as injuries that do not constitute fractures of the bones but are injuries that affect tissues surrounding the ankle (Carr 2003). According to Carr, “ankle injuries are frequent injuries that are not only familiar to patients, but also to physicians; they are the most common injuries resulting from recreational sports” (Carr 2003, p. 2362).

This essay advocates for a policy that improves the health of the public and/or the nursing profession. Mentorship should be made as effective as possible. Mentors ought to have a genuine and personal concern towards the mentees, should dedicate time for mentorship, should have good communication and listening skills, should be sensitive to the needs of the mentees, they should not dominate the mentee or be over-controlling.
