The provision of healthcare by the government highly depends on the economic status of a country. Continued dependency on the government by individuals comes with ensuring that proper health care systems are in place. Government enacts laws that ensure continued support of individuals who may need healthcare provision in various departments. The health care industry is making efforts to offer and continue offering quality care and increase the credentials that enhance the competitiveness of organizations. Scholars Lundy and Janes in their research argued that the main objective of health care administration is to ensure that the delivery of health care reaches residents in the efficient ways, to the required standards. Governments ensure that the provision in healthcare ensures continued support in the growth of the economies. This cannot be delivered if the administration and the organization as a whole do not prioritize work- life balance and team building among its employees as well as other stakeholders. Enhancing work- life balance is therefore very crucial to ensuring the success and stability of these organizations, and the companies should invest in promoting and building work- life balance for increased productivity and service delivery. This is a decisive move, applicable in building management and leadership to move in the leadership capacity of the health management and practitioners (Site, 2012). There are three potential models for health care organizations. These models are corporate/business models, the orchestrator and the community model. These models represent the different ways in which hospitals conduct their operations. The corporate model is for hospitals, which are operated as financial entities. These hospitals’ main aim is making of profit just like any other business. The orchestrator model is for hospitals, which are operated, similar to airports or malls. In this model, hospitals are looked at as providers of infrastructure for specialized and independent health providers. The final model is the community model where the needs of people come before the finance issues (Site, 2012). The government, together with health care administrators should use work- life balance to combat political and social factors, which have a major influence on the productivity and accessibility of health care services. The acceptance of the administration becomes positively fostered greatly depends on the level to which team leaders roles will be ordained by the health care administration. High medical costs come from factors highly dependent on social and political influences that affect the productivity and communication levels, which become applicable in the health care system. Work- life balance ensures that communication, a vital skill in the healthcare industry is attained. Communication is an important aspect that is brought about by team cooperation; it comes with great importance especially when dealing with members from different departments. This is because, through the teams’ interactions, members will be able to express themselves freely as well as give their suggestions and opinions without fear for increased harmony and productivity. This is ensures a well running healthcare administration gets to benefit from restraints that come with working as a team. This formal relationship aids in ensuring that tertiary health care that is responsible for the comfort of both doctors and nurses and other stakeholders in the organization (Site, 2012). Team building is important in the line of administration; it brings an important aspect in ensuring that the major people responsible for the health of citizens are well catered. This can be in the form of working environment, fair and equitable compensation packages and bonuses, proper management practices, a good organization culture, motivation, job satisfaction among others. If not all these procedures are done correctly, it creates a chain of problems and negative concerns among the employees as well as the patients. For instance, an un-satisfied employee may have a bad attitude and may not be in a position to attend to a patient as it is expected, which may at times cost the life of the patient. Improved work- life balance among the diabetic patients increases the capabilities of maintaining a healthy relationship even in old age. The practice should run in all departments in healthcare sections to secure proper running in the entire health industry runs smoothly. In addition, science and technology also elevates the execution levels in health care administration and the level to which work- life balance is appropriately administered in the health care industry. The practice does not have to be linked to ensure that the teams are able to meet on a virtual basis. The role of health care administrators in the line of work- life balance is to ensure that as technology advances facilitate change. The level to which the health care industry accomplishes tasks in a better manner depends on technology advances. Through investments in training and development, building of teamwork in their respective organizations becomes easier (Site, 2012). The federation of diabetes has a comprehensive way of increasing return in association with the knowledge management. This helps the organization improve its competitive advantage. In its business enterprise where the capacity is higher than the demand, value creation will require competitive advantage. A company, which has a competitive advantage, will outperform the competitors gaining higher economic profit in the market. In reference to how the Partners Healthcare may improve their competitive advantage due to the law of increasing returns in association with their Knowledge Management, first, their need to inquire about the best match between organizational capacities and the opportunities that are in the market. Usually, few competitive advantages can be sustained for a long time; thus, they ought to go on seeking the opportunities to create a large amount of value (Site, 2012). Consequently, the government works with the economy pattern to create wellbeing the institution that governs health care systems. Partners Healthcare can improve their competitive advantage when they monitor the overall state of the company and compare the company’s capacity with market demand. They ought to examine their company in contrast with the competitors to differentiate those features that are significant to the success. Applying the Knowledge Management practices, Partners Healthcare will need knowledge management program whose objective is to optimize voluntary self motivated learning and development, facilitate personal knowledge management competencies, motivate a collaborative knowledge sharing behavior and also mentoring knowledge management abilities. They ought also to incorporate and implement new processes, technologies and equipment so as to ensure there is unswerving operational and success in their business. The health care industry is making efforts to offer and continue offering quality care and increase the credentials that enhance the competitiveness of organizations. This gains the much independence required by the facilities (Site, 2012). There are a number of reasons why it is important for advanced practice nurses to be aware of healthcare policy of the country of practice. As an experienced nurse, one might decide to venture into diabetes as a career some of which include providing an opportunity to the nurses to be close to their patients as they take care of them in a country far away from home (Site, 2012). Most nurses win the trust of their patients unlike in any other career. Diabetes is a career whereby sometimes we don’t have to say a thing but just give a listening ear and console the family members of the sick and the bereaved (Site, 2012). Advanced diabetes requires adequate information on the healthcare policy of a country for various reasons. This paper will give a detailed study of the various aspects that determines this consideration. Importance of understanding the management plan Managing diabetes also offers challenging opportunities as it is always a continuous learning experience when nurses deal with these different challenges. It becomes a problem when the policies of the country of practice run things differently as the country of study (Site, 2012). Diabetes as a career offers a wide range of options hence allowing nurses to work in a variety of settings such as in the emergency rooms, outpatient clinics, voluntary counseling centers, in the military as well as in the schooling institutions and work places. This means that nurses are needed everywhere since, they can work within any organization which does not need to be a hospital. The diabetes career also offers a variety of roles that nurses can take which include anesthetists, midwives, practitioners, researchers and educators. The diabetes career offers one a chance to venture in entrepreneurship by starting personal clinics after being issued with The Registered Diabetes License. It is important to ensure that the policy of the country of practice provide a flexible environment to ensure easy application (Site, 2012). The healthcare policy of another country may dictate different terms regarding permanent employment. After pursuing diabetes as a course, one is sure of employment since there is a shortage of nurses worldwide and their starting salary is approximately $50,000. This study applies in managing diabetes, as organizations require many nurses to manage and contain diabetes. Given that nurses work in shifts and overtime schedules are provided due to the shortage, nurses get the opportunity to earn more. Nurses can also start working 2 years after they have begun their training and at the same time, they have to keep their brains stimulated since new diabetes theories keep coming up. For instance, in cases of midwifery, the birth/delivery methods keep improving and changing hence nurses have to keep themselves at per so as to deliver better services (Site, 2012). Knowledge of the policy ensures proper running of the employment plan for the nurse. Conclusion Diabetes is a lifestyle disease. Managing diabetes starts with managing the change of lifestyle in terms of fitness and nutrition. Managing diabetes is important globally. The supplementary study of handling a 59-year-old man who has type 2 diabetic comes with the analysis of the fitness and nutrition of the patient. Considering the patient and the economic status the management plan comes with analyzing various factors. The economy’s ability to manage a supplementary plan for the 59-year-old man lies in abilities to ensure provision of health care.
