ical Colorado Fiesta: Dances with Brass Colorado Fiesta: Dances with Brass The paper addresses the songs performed during the Colorado Fiesta: Dances with Brass concert, the location, timing, and duration of the concert. More so, the paper will discuss the performers, the instruments, and their functioning during the concert. Ultimately, the paper will analyze the prowess of the band and significance of the concert. The classical musical concert entitled, Colorado Fiesta: Dances with Brass took place at the Gates Concert Hall in the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver on October 13, 2012 (Valencia, 2012). The concert lasted from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm. The live performance included 14 professional musicians of the Denver Brass. The performances include Salsa, Day of the Dead Suite, Tango, and Sense Maya (Valencia, 2012). The performers played different classical songs that included Day of the Dead. Denver Brass constitutes of 14 professional musicians (The Denver brass, 2014). Denver Brass’s universal appeal defines its success and prominence. I enjoyed the magnificent surround sound and the entertaining and relaxing fresh musical styles that added vigor to the classical music live concert. I also enjoyed the fact that a diverse audience attended the concert thus denouncing the misconception that classic music is for elite, racist, and educated audience. Indeed, the live concert made me love attending another classical music live concert in the near future. Notably, the performance of the Drever Bass corresponds to the classical stylistic period learnt in class. The Colorado Fiesta: Dances with Brass depicted a classical musical genre as the band sung various classical songs. The programming of the music sought to share the Colorado history in an entertaining manner. The performance sought to bring a musical excursion from Spain to America. The live concert evoked emotions, images, and ideas. Indeed, the fiery dance, cool music, and sensual Flamenco guitar evoked happy and entertaining feelings. The live concert also evoked passionate and romantic feelings courtesy of the romantic song Day of the Dead. The Colorado Fiesta: Dances with Brass was equally colorful thus evoking a beautiful feeling. Some of the most Memorable features of the live concert included the fiery dance, sensual Flamenco guitar that evoked instrumental effects, and the entertaining dancing styles by Fiesta Colorado and Steve Mullins (Valencia, 2012). Additionally, I cannot forget the harmonious melodies and rhythms of the Drever Bass that motivated the audience to sing along to each song they played. However, the fiery dance contradicted with the soft and cool environment witnessed in live classical concerts. The Drever Bass concert compares with the Bryan Adams’ Concert. Both concerts depicted prowess in playing the guitar. However, while Bryan Adams is a Canadian rock star, guitarist, the sensual Flamenco guitar was fundamental in classic music. The two live performances featured classic songs played in a rhythmic and melodious manner to entertain the audience. While Bryan Adams’ Concert focused on the functionality of the guitar, the Drever Bass concert focuses on the entire performance of the band. I think Drever Bass succeeded in projecting the emotional meaning of the work. Indeed, the Lamont Brass Ensemble delivered entertaining and relaxing emotions. The 14 professional musicians manifested their stage command and maintained their presentation of fresh musical styles that added vigor to the live concert. The band created an emotional connection with the audience as they encouraged the audience to share a glass of wine in a celebrating mood. The fact that the audience identified and sung along to each song the band played reflects emotional success of the concert. The dynamics had enough variety as they featured classic music, fiery dance, Tango, and sensual Flamenco guitar. While the guitar and the songs reflected a soft tone, the fiery dance was too rough. The live concert used different tempos that include the moderato, allegro, and ritardando tempos (Telles, 2011). Some tempos that related to the fiery dance were too fast. Moreover, the Drever Bass used the rubato to intensify their expression while performing the romantic song Day of the Dead. The melodic lines balanced with the sensual Flamenco guitar where they established a harmonious rhythm. Notably, a continued motion projected the melodic lines. The Drever Bass had clear and beautiful voices while the sensual Flamenco guitar produced sweet sounds. The movements by the dancers, Fiesta Colorado and Steve Mullins added to the musical effect created by Denver brass (Valencia, 2012). The soloist and orchestra coordinated well to the amazement of the audience. The coordination enabled the audience to enjoy the instrumental effects and follow the songs presented by the band. Notably, the conductor controlled the ensemble well leading to the delivery of a superb surround sound that evoked entertaining and relaxing emotions. Moreover, the gestures and motions depicted in the concert conveyed different feelings stated here in. There are different genres of music that attract distinct audience. The evolution in music has enabled us to enjoy live concerts, audio music, videos, and instrumentals. Classical music and classical concerts entertain a diverse audience (University of Denver, 2012). I have attended various classical music concerts including the classical Colorado Fiesta: Dances with Brass held on October 13, 2012 starting 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Gates Concert Hall in the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver. A large audience of classic music lovers filled the Newman Center for the Performing Arts to experience the highly rated Denver Brass. The performance included 14 professional musicians, fiery dance, and sensual Flamenco guitar formed part of the crew. Clearly, the audience enjoyed the live classical concert. Indeed, the fiery dance, cool music, and sensual Flamenco guitar evoked happy and entertaining feelings while the romantic song Day of the Dead evoked passionate and romantic feelings. Moreover, the sensual Flamenco guitar that evoked instrumental effects and the entertaining dancing styles by Fiesta Colorado and Steve Mullins were fascinating. The harmonious melodies and rhythms of the Drever Bass are memorable features of the concert. The dancers, Fiesta Colorado and Steve Mullins enhanced the musical effect created by Denver brass. The Drever Bass concert compares with the Bryan Adams’ Concert where both depict live concerts that reflect prowess in playing the guitar. Notably, the Denver brass concert used different tempos that include the moderato, allegro, ritardando, and rubato tempos to intensify expressions. The Lamont Brass Ensemble produced a superb surround sound that entertained and refreshed the audience. The lice concert, Colorado Fiesta: Dances with Brass motivated me to attend future classical music live concert. References Telles, J. (2011). Tempos in order from slowest to fastest.
