Some of the child-centered curriculum goals that have proven to be proficient include making learners reach a new understanding of their surroundings, one of the vibrant goals of a teacher. What’s more, teachers in the contemporary world need to adopt a child-centered curriculum for them to meet their goals of supporting background knowledge learned at homegrown and in the community. Teachers’ goals employ the child-centered curriculum as it endorses the deepening interest and exploration of connected ideas. Therefore, by comparing Child-Centered and the traditional approach concepts I realized that Child-Centered is a superlative and effective approach teachers can use in a class as this approach helps in promoting the concepts of children playing part in their curriculum development, unlike the traditional approach.  A child-centered curriculum enables learners to develop awareness by making them understand their surroundings thus creating learners who are not consumers of knowledge but inventors of the knowledge.

Sharon’s child-centered curriculum, unlike Melissa’s traditional curriculum, helps us to understand that contemporary teachers think children learn within the situation of loving the content by looking at it if it connects learning with experiences. A modern teacher will approve that child learn through activities that are responsive to children, i.e. Consider what comes about after experiences. Teachers also understand that children learn easily when the lesson and the content taught support reflecting of already learned content and also embrace observations by learners.

An effective program of study is brought about by sensory involvements, use of the concepts to integrate knowledge, content, and skills from multiple subject areas, offers learners activity choices, and incorporates relevant learning beyond the tutorial room into real-life situations. The sensory aspects of the Child-Centered approach are providing a means of understanding the content being taught; helping learners develop awareness, and making them understand their surroundings. The traditional approach does not guarantee learners an avenue to learn from their immediate environment as it encourages consumption ion of already invented knowledge. Thee Child-Centered approach promotes the values of self-reliance, originality, smart work and cr, creativity. Teachers should not overuse commercial learning as Melissa did, but they should use non-commercial learning material as they are vital in promoting participatory learning. The traditional approach, sadly, promotes dependency or overreliance on commercially available learning materials instead of involving the teacher and the learners in developing their materials.

Teachers can draw the curriculum on their lives and experiences by sidestepping from using the commercial learning material. Instead, teachers should use locally available teaching resources which support background knowledge learned at home and in the community hence helping teachers to draw the curriculum on the daily lives and experiences of their learners. In that sense, the teacher should always perceive himself/herself face fimitatorator towards an evocative teaching/learning process.
