I. Introduction Invention of internet has substantially revolutionized all spheres of human life. It has metamorphosed way of living in the twenty-first century. Internet has not only influenced economic activities but also social interactions, technological systems, and cultural activities too. It would be difficult to point out any activity in our day-to-day life, which is immune from internet. Arrival of internet has really diminished space and time hurdles and it has worked as an impetus for the process of globalization. II. Internet The internet is a system, which has interconnected millions of otherwise independent computers.

Only because of internet, we are able to interconnect communication entities and information systems all over the world. Internet has made it possible to pass on a vast range of information and services such as electronic mails. A. Computer A computer is a machine invented for computations, which works according to instructions. Personal computers have become cheap and highly portableB. NetworkA network connects computers and other devices through communication channels. Network allows communication between users and it facilitates sharing of resources among users.

With the help of computer networks information and resources can shared among users who are interconnected.III. Good aspects A. Convenience Internet is a very convenient tool for the computer users. Through internet, one can interact with whomsoever him want provided that other person have internet connection. It is very easy to use and an encyclopedia of information. To be connected it is very easy, a broadband connection or USB modem is enough for user. With the help of internet one can get all the things in a remote place also.

Rural and urban divide has diminished because of internet. Acohill has aptly pointed out the dynamics of internet. He says “in rural communities, the Internet has broken the chains of rural isolation and dramatically improved the quality of life in areas like shopping” (1999).B. Shortcut Internet has brought the world at a click away from one’s computer. One can transfer money online, reserve a flight ticket online and could easily get information about developments taking place all over the world.

Social networking services like Facebook, Twitter has really altered modes of human interactions. C. CheapAbove main factor, which has contributed in spread of Internet, is its affordability. To get internet connection is very cheap. Benefits are hundred times more than the cost and because of it, use of Internet has spread like wildfire. Latest data of internet users shows around 28.7% people use internet all over the world. Between 2000 to 2010 internet users all over the world have been increased by 444.8%. VI.

Bad aspectsGrowing use of Internet has taken toll on social life. Internet has reduced face to face interaction and increased alienation among people. People are interacting more on virtual world than in real world. Family relations are also being affected because of excessive use of internet. V. SuggestA. Control timeLimited and necessary use of internet is good for all. One should not become pale-faced geeks who is sitting in front of computer and not interacting with human beings. WE should be aware of danger of becoming an introvert because of excessive internet use.B.InformationInternet is an ocean of information but we should be selective in using it.

Internet is one of the best invention of ever human being have made. We could really use it for our benefit and upliftment of the society.
