?Integrated Technology's Impact on Society in the Year 2025 It seems like only yesterday when the Internet was born out of a need for individuals to have instant access to communication and a free flowing channel for the exchange of knowledge, technology, and other assets. Then came the era of Twitter and Facebook which forever changed the way that people communicated with each other. Now, in the year 2013, I find myself wondering about what kind of technological impact our society will experience in the year 2025. The answer, in my opinion, is that we are looking forward to a more technologically integrated society by that time. Technology will be so far advanced that our homes will most likely be fully automated and cater to our every whim. Smart technology, which for now, is limited our mobile phones, tablets, and television will become even more widespread as our homes become the new frontier for smart technology. Imagine refrigerators that are connected to the Internet and fully capable of restocking itself with supplies as we run out of them. This will all take place without the person having to leave the comfort of his house. Rather, all the supplies will be teleported into his refrigerator. Stoves will cook food automatically using preset settings, all we have to do is put in the ingredients as we are informed to do so by the “smart” stove or oven. Cars will no longer travel simply by road. Every car shall have the dual function of being a normal car for road traveling and then flying just below airplane level when needed. This will help lower air fares for most people who by that time, will still need to travel cross-country for some reasons. The society of tomorrow will be living in nirvana because of the tremendous strides that will be made in the area of “smart” technologies. I am sure some individual in a secret laboratory is already hard at work making my concepts a reality. Disintegrated Technology's Impact on Society As our world becomes more and more dependent upon robots, android devices, and computers to accomplish the tasks that human beings used to perform, we will find that our world will slowly fall into disarray and chaos. Not because these technological advancements are bad things, but because without actual jobs for humans to perform, he will deem himself useless and thus keep trying to find something to help him feel better about himself. In the year 2025, this will be an almost impossible task for human beings to accomplish. Too much dependence upon technological advancements will place our society at a disadvantage. Although the work tends to get done a lot faster, more efficiently, and with lower production costs due to the lack of salary for the workers, the technology that was meant to help produce our society's needs will then also become its undoing. Products will fill the market place and offer the concept of the best life that can be had in the year 2025 but the problem will be that because of the lack of human related jobs and salaries, there will not be enough people with the financial ability to purchase all of the technological advancements available to them. Therefore, a problem relating to cost of living versus available products will then exist. Our society will be further divided by the great financial divide at that point. This may or may not lead to civil war and a redefining of our society as we know it. Our society, now beholden to technology, will slowly come to realize that there is a need to reduce the presence of technology in our lives if the human race is to be prevented from imploding due to problems that technology created. That is why I believe that although technology is good for man, it is also beginning to destroy our society as we know it. Integrated Technology's Impact on Individuals in 2025 Smart technology will be part of the regular person's life in the year 2025. If we are so used to using credit cards now and receiving paperless bills via the Internet, the year 2025 will be even more geared towards less need for money and more need for credit ratings. Money will be replaced by credit history ratings. The higher the credit history score of a person, the greater credit he will receive from banks and lending institutions. These in turn shall be paid off by the individual using his “trust” credits from the institutions. The method through which man communicates will also find itself undergoing a major overhaul by that time. With the mobile phones, tablets, and laptops replaced by portable hologram devices that will allow them to have a semblance of a social life while in the comfort and safety of their homes. Going to the office will be a thing of the past as telecommuting becomes the norm. Holographic devices will become one of the most important tools of the trade as bedrooms turn into professional looking offices and beds become highly functional desks with built in keyboards and files stored in the cloud. The headboards will become monitors and communication devices that replace the mobile phones. In fact, any surface in the future can easily be converted into a communication and computer device as converter devices become available, thus making technology more accessible to individuals who may otherwise not be able to afford them. Individuals will no longer have a need to run after time because technology will allow them to participate in social activities as they wish, without ever having to leave the comfort of their own homes. The Internet and holographic tools will make sure they enjoy their work and play time to the fullest every single time. Disintegrated Technology's Impact on Individuals in 2025 We live in a society that is fast becoming highly sanitized and afraid of face to face interactions. Technological development companies at the moment seem more than happy to continue to promote an anthropophobic lifestyle by creating more and more devices that will allow people to interact with one another without really being in the same room as one another. In the year 2025, this will be the lifestyle that a majority of society shall be adhering to. That is why people will develop a distrust of meeting people face to face. Opting instead for the anonymity that is offered by the devices then in existence. Since individuals see no need to leave the house, get dressed, or go out to meet people face to face, we will live in a society that no longer has a solid sense of morality, respect, and friendship. Those areas of life for individuals will be replaced by their need to remain anonymous while accomplishing their tasks and interacting with others. It will not be a pretty sight. Imagine if you will, a world where the streets shall be devoid of people, curtains and blinds constantly drawn in their homes and offices. There is no real interaction amongst individuals and there are no real people working in offices. Instead, we have people who opt to enjoy their lives by staying out of the public eye because technology affords them the ability to do so. The year 2025 will usher in the year of de-sensitivity among individuals. It will cause an emergence of phobias cause by the inability of people to interact in the real world, resulting in the demise of individualism. Technology will replace individual thought. There is no free will because the tech companies control the individual movement of people without their knowledge or consent. Read More
