Qualitative: Does teacher job satisfaction influence student classroom productivity? Does students’ productivity in the classroom influenced by the teachers’ job satifaction? 2. Qualitative researchers: Describe the phenomenon of interest and how it will be recorded. My proposed dissertation research has a mixed method design, with one dominant and one secondary component of data collection. The proposed quantitative research will enable me to explore how student academic performance coincides with teacher job satisfaction. In this concurrent design, the proposed qualitative method will allow me to test specific hypothesis that supports my research questions in a moderate sample size of educators: (a) a qualitative survey that I propose to administer to a random sample of 25 K-12 teachers, and (b) a structured formal personality test that I propose to conduct with the 25 participants chosen for the study. My proposed dissertation research study is made up of mixed method design, with one dominant and one secondary components of data collection. The proposed quantitative research will facilitate me with my investigation on how the academic performance of a student coincides with the job fulfillment of a teacher. In this concurrent study design, the proposed qualitative method will allow me to test specific hypothesis that will affirm my research inquiries in a moderate sample size of educators. In line with this, the following are formulated: (a) Proposed qualitative survey to be shelled out to a random sample composed of 25 K - 12 teachers, and (2) proposed structured formal personality test to be conducted to the 25 chosen participants. 3. Briefly describe the analysis planned: Describe the statistical or analytical methods that will be used to reveal expected relationships, differences, or patterns. The research will conducted at one of the six schools in the county. Surveys and the Myers Briggs will be administered before the conclusion of the seminar. The survey will be a maximum time of 10 minutes and the MBTI will be a maximum time of 45 minutes ***May you give me some pointers with this? Totally confused *** The proposed research study will be conducted to one of the six schools in the county. Prior to the conclusion of the seminar, surveys and the Myers - Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) will be administered separately. A maximum time of 10 minutes will be spent for the survey, and a maximum time of 45 minutes for MBTI. The data gathered thru the survey and MBTI will be recorded, incorporated, and analyzed by the researcher. The result of this investigation will determine the teachers’ personality and job satisfaction. 4. Inclusion and Exclusion Criteria: ***May you give me some pointers with this? *** Inclusion: My population will be K-12 educators (both men and women) of various ages and years of experience. 2 teachers from each grade level with one opening for a vocational or fine arts teacher. Exclusion: Former or current school administration Inclusion: This study will focus on the K - 12 teachers of both sexes, and of various age groups possessing different levels of experience. Two teachers will be selected from each grade level, and one teacher for the newly opened vocational course. Exclusion: District School Board and the District Administration, and their representatives. 5. Identify community stakeholders who should hear about your research results and indicate a specific plan for disseminating results in an appropriate format Stakeholders: The District School Board and the District Administration. I will disseminate results by…* help with this please* (Each stakeholder group will receive the findings of the research results through documents created by the researcher) The researcher will furnish a copy of the results of the proposed research study to the stakeholders, namely: The District School Board and the District Administration. The information gathered by the researcher from the survey and the MBTI will be rendered to the aforementioned stakeholders who will make an additional review and suggestions on the proposed study. 6. Explain what steps will be taken to minimize risks and to protect participants’ and stakeholders’ welfare (To protect participants and stakeholders, the researcher will….) Please give me some pointers and I will add what needs to be inserted here. To protect the participants and the stakeholders’ welfare, the names of the chosen participants will be withheld and will remain undisclosed. The researcher will be responsible in withholding the personal information of the participating educators from the public. 7. Describe anticipated benefits of this research, if any, for individual participants Each participant will be administered the Myers Briggs Personality Test to determine if their personality matches their current career. (Please elaborate on this) The Myers - Briggs Personality Test will be administered to each of the 25 participants to determine whether their personality matches their existing career. Through Myers - Briggs, each participant will be able to perceive and judge whether or not their choice of career suits their own personality. Through this, the participants will be guided accordingly, and personal satisfaction/dissatisfaction will be addressed. Thereby, helping them improve the performance level of each student. The level of satisfaction of an educator is the most important element in producing a quality student. In this proposed research study, Myers - Briggs will assess the level of personal awareness among participating teachers. 8. Describe anticipated benefits of this research to society? This research will help school and district administrations identify what teachers really need and want in K-12 education. ***Please help with this*** Through the proposed research study, the need of every participating educator will be addressed. In so doing, the level of satisfaction among educators will be identified through the survey and Myers - Briggs. In line with this, the District Administrations will be made aware on the existing internal problems of their educators and be able to address those. As a result, the performance level of each student will improve after teachers’ satisfaction/dissatisfaction is addressed. 9. Who will approach potential participants’ to take part in the research study and what will be done to protect individuals’ privacy in the process? The researcher and the district superintendent or his designee will approach potential participants. (For the second half of the question, to protect their privacy, confidentiality will be maintained by the researcher and with the use of a survey which will only request the participant’s gender, age, years of experience and subject taught.) The researcher himself will approach the potential participants for it is a requirement of this study to withhold any information of the participating educators from anyone. It is necessary to protect the privacy of these participants, and shall be maintained by providing no other information except the participants’ gender, age, years of experience, and the subject they taught in the survey sheet. 10. Please list all individuals who will have access to the raw data. The researcher and Myers Briggs Testing will have access to the testing data. MBTI will provide the researcher with the participants results of the personality test Myers Briggs will only receive the responses to the testing instrument not personal information. ( Please reword if necessary) Since the privacy of the participants is the main concern of this study, the reseacher and the Myers Briggs Testing Center are given the right to have an access to the testing data. However, Myers Briggs will only receive responses of the testing instrument and not the personal information of the participating educators.
