What considerations do public service managers need to take into account in involving members of the public in planning public services? Give an example. Public service managers are answerable to the state when the talk goes out loud regarding their actions and behaviors. Their steps are viewed by everyone within the governmental regimes and they must remain open to criticism from just about any part of the society. The reason for the same is that they are doing work for the general public and hence the public wants the public service managers to give their best when it comes to their works and tasks. They would not allow anything to come in second place and for this the public service managers are always under pressure to deliver their very best no matter how trying or tough the circumstances turn out to be. Public service managers remain in the eye of one and all and they are usually very much accountable as concerns to their public level dealings on a day to day basis. Public service managers need to understand that they are the custodians of the general population of a country and that their actions and behaviors are usually representative of the government which is administering a nation for that matter. Furthermore, they ought to comprehend that public level dealings are not easy to occur since they require a lot of litigation and sequence of activities before they actually are remarked as being complete on the public’s end. They take steps which alleviate poverty within the different segments of a society as well as help at giving the whole culture an uplift, one which will eventually change the basis of the country, region or area whatsoever. Then there are the aspects related with administration of the general public and the different institutions which are working within the public domain. The public sector is governed by these public service managers and they bring to light a number of different issues which are related with the basic working regimes coming under the governmental jurisdictions. They are also responsible for the financial dealings that are happening within the governmental ranks and with this we come to know of their basic methodologies that the public service managers actually bring about in the whole related scheme of financial and economic tasks and activities. The reforms are also undertaken time and again and these are some of the very basic steps which are undertaken on a regular basis. The reforms take into consideration the aspects which are related with the working regimes and the do’s and don’ts of the governmental machinery and so on and so forth. The public service managers are responsible for all these tasks nonetheless. They bring about certain steps which make sure on their part that democracy is visible from the public eye since this is a cornerstone of the country and its system itself. The democratic norms and values are demonstrated on a normal routine basis and this essentially forms the basis for the remaining steps of the workings related with the public service managers as well. The changing role of public service managers is something to write home about. They are attempting to change their role which is a lot different from the traditional model that made working of these managers feel stagnated at certain points in time. Now they have started to interact more and more with the private sector and hence the interaction has become a two fold one. The end result is a successful one for all and sundry. The public service managers have defied the odds that used to be there in the past and now they have started to rely more and more on the communication aspect which is present between them and the private sector, a relationship that really brings in much more success than was anticipated in the recent past. Even today, there are some apprehensions related with the interactive ability of the public service managers and the private concerns but then again one needs to understand that these doubts are nothing more than mere doubts so to speak. The long term results are there for one and all to see and gain insight from. Furthermore, the changing and evolving role of the public service managers gives us enough food for thought that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that the government can achieve so much more if its public service managers are given the necessary freedom and resources which are so much required speaking in the related scheme of things. The public service managers need to look at the human capital growth measures that understand the management aspects as well. These discuss the different deteriorating standards of the human capital and the related basis as well. Also this brings to light the issue of human development at the same time. The considerations that need to be given all this while include that of comprehending the very basis of the human front which is all the more on the move and one that will safely make its way through to the top, as far as the plight of the people existing within a particular governmental regime or for that matter public sector is concerned. They need to involve the different members of the public which could be just about anyone, hailing from the urban classes to the rural masses. The elites within a society can also be a part of this activity and so could be the case for the layman who does not have any idea whatsoever regarding the different tasks and processes of the governmental machinery. Planning public services means the fact that these public service managers have to take care of as well as sequence the whole exercise of getting the community to play an active role so that the end result is one which will benefit one and all. The active involvement is made mandatory with regards to these public service managers who give in their best and actually make sure that the community or the society that we are talking about here is the one that delivers at the end. As an example for the public service managers we can quote the case of financial managers within the governmental institutions who ensure that there are not any such litigations and problems for the common man which will make him suffer in case of financial reductions and problems which could arise from time to time. These public service managers guarantees to the general public that their steps are made accountable in front of them and also that they are answerable in case of financial scenarios which depict nothing else but anarchy within the related ranks. A public service manager also stands up in such an instance and makes his role pretty clear to one and all. Thus not only the financial aspects but also the related issues of administration, procurement of raw materials, transport services, provision of different amenities and facilities coming under the auspices of the public works and a host of other different tasks are some of the few significant features that actually make up the whole working basis of the varied public service managers. The new public management has become more of a practical task than being mere words in a book or when penned down in different constitutions of the state. The same need to be followed in entirety so as to make sure that there are no problems whatsoever that arise in the wake of the different issues which seem to crop up every now and so often. In the end, it is significant to understand that public service managers do their duty in the best manner possible. Their earnest desire is to see the public sector get flourished in the shortest possible time. Public service managers have to be on their toes since they are the true face of the government and indeed the whole of the state’s own machinery. The different employment policies as well as public service roles need to be changed by these public service managers both from the short term perspective as well as in the long run. The role in the field of public health needs to be discussed here since the health care is a concern in all the societies of the world and more so when we speak of the government’s initiative. Public service is a difficult proposition and this must be carried out in a manner which sees that the activities, tasks and processes of the public are demonstrative. All said and done, the public service managers must understand what their ethos is all about and what kind of role they can effectively and efficiently play in the relevant scheme of things. With this, we also come to know about the different undertakings of the public service managers on the governmental levels as well as with their interaction basis deep down at the level of the common man on the street.
