Students will be asked what they can see and ask them if they can guess which season are we talking about.

9:00- Discuss the spring season with the children and let them talk about what they do in the spring season and how they feel about Spring.
9:05- I will sing them a poem which will be sung in the same tune as jingle bells. The board has the same colors of flowers and I will give them each color of flowers. Let them exchange flowers of different colors.

Growing everywhere.
Here are some pretty flowers
For your coat or hair.

9:10- Ask them to talk about different ideas for making cards. Which shapes do they like for making cards?
9:15- Give them material and ask them to cut a flower or a leaf to make a card for their parents/ friends/brothers and sisters.
9:20- Ask them to tell about different things which they learned about the spring season.
9:35- Another poem Five Little Seeds will be sung with the fingers to help them learn the counting.
Five Little Seeds
3 will make flowers and 2 will make weeds
Under the leaves and the snow
5 little seeds are waiting to grow
Out comes the sun
down comes a shower
and up comes the three pretty little pink flowers
Out comes the sun - that every plant needs
And up comes 2 funny, little, old weeds

In-class Assessment: They will be making cards

Homework: They have to learn the poems by heart and give the cards to their loved ones.

Materials: Scissors, colored paper, and black marker.
