Letter Taher Alghazal Jennifer Taylor Comp 1020 29 October In this period of time, advertising has become an integral part of our daily lives. There is no day that passes without a person not turning on the television to watch at least one programme or listen to a commercial which advertises a product. Communication is also being done through the internet and the radio, and this has become the people’s way of life. The change and spread of technology today has made it easier for firms to market their products, and for charitable organizations to receive service support and donations. The television has remained to be the primary medium for children advertising (Buckingham 523). Recently, the unusual has happened whereby human emotions have been used and exploited. An example of this is the emergence of sick animals on television in order to stir up emotions and winning hearts for financial support that can treat these poor animals. Children have also been used in the commercials in order to attract attention to some of the products that are being advertised. This is evidenced by the Oreo Company which uses advertising to market their product which is the cookie. Oreo Multiple National Corporation used their staff all over the world to deploy multiple television commercials, in order to capture the different cultures and languages all over the world. The objective of this act is to ensure that the same technique is not used again or repeated in some of the regions in the world. In other words it has deployed a range of Video in different languages to countries that do not speak the original languages used in advertising the cookie, and thus ensure that human nature is not exploited and the people are impacted with the necessary knowledge. This method of marketing the cookie is effective especially when the peers vision how the kids enjoy the taste of Oreo. The ways in which the product is advertised pushes the children to buy the product or even makes them persuade their parents to purchase the cookie for them instead of having any other type of biscuit. The way that the product is marketed enhances the relationship of the children with their parents. The advertisement shows how the relationship is enhanced if the parents are able to buy and offer their ki8ds the cookie because it makes the kids feel happy when they get to taste and eat the type of cookie. The advert pains a picture that the children and the parents will always have the same experience once they eat the cookie. In order to enhance this type of advertising, the best method to use in order to spread and market the product is the use of Video. The video will also capture the different cultures that exist globally. For example, the French language can be used because of the language pronunciation and brilliant tone that is used, which in turn affects the minds of the individuals to sketch a beautiful picture of the product. The language is humorous and thus the use of this language makes it fun and brings the effect that would capture the people who watch and listen to the advert and thus they may wish to try out the product being advertised. However, not all people understand the French Language and thus the advert is to be translated to English, and the translation should not lose the essence of fun and humor. This means that generally, if the advert is being translated to any of the local languages, it should not change the impact that it is supposed to have on the target group and the customers. Childhood touch should still exist no matter the language used, despite the rear and the changes that the advert may have when translated to other languages. More attention should be given to the kids and how they represent nature in order to ensure that they grab the product being advertised and thus enhance the market of the product to all the kids who are the potential consumers of the product (Buckingham 589). The graphic design and the environment that the product is being advertised have a major impact on the product as it gives a good picture to the advert. Therefore, the environment should childish in order to complete the picture of the advert. An example the of colors in the advert, placing of the playing tent in the advert, the use of animals hanging from the roof of the tent, and the most important decoration should be the Milk Cup, which is used as a supplement to Oreo. This visual text used in the advert is designed to convey the message that the creamy Oreo cookie is extremely tasty and nobody can resist the temptation of wanting to have a taste of it. This advert spreads the cultural value of good life. It portrays the love and harmony and the strong emotional attachments between the parents and their children. All these denote that this product is useful for children even though chocolate contains the main factor that causes dental cavities in children. Use any other decorations could prejudice the picture advertising it is also possible that any error in this may spoil the entire announcement. The faces of the advertisers, the names used in advertising and all the items that are placed together with the product should give strength to the announcement. The faces used and the names as well give the product a chance to gain more market. The purpose of the advisement is to give the viewers pleasure and joy in exploiting the product. The children’s reaction to the advertisement shows the relationship that the advert has established between the product being advertised and the consumers who are mostly the children. In order to ensure that the product is marketed as required, the advertisers must be very smart to attract the children. This means that a reaction of the children towards the product shows the reactions that the viewers get when a product is being advertised especially through the media. To conclude, this ad is beautifully pictured and carefully directed. The creators of this advert were successful in spreading the intended message about Oreo cookie and this was through bringing fun and pleasure in the heart. Works Cited Buckingham, David.
