PROMOTION In products promotion, it is essential to ensure that a company has a target market, understands the benefits of their products, and has a strategy in the way to position the services and products. Promotion appears in many dimensions and can be achieved through the use of internet, direct marketing, public relations or advertisements. Internet advertising has caused great success in the world of marketing. Promotion can be heightened if a company chooses to use unique prepositions in the selling strategy. It is essential to have a unique selling price market promotion to ensure that the company has a difference with the rest. Promotion is inclusive in marketing and is believed to play the part of a marketing investment that is excessively essential in businesses (Gordob, 2010). Over the years, phone manufacturers have had to deal with wireless carriers so that they can have adequate access to their networks. This is the reason most phone companies have their prices dictated by the same carriers mentioned above. High pricing caused people to find other services that can be used in place of the phones. As the struggle went on, different manufacturers have used the technological ideas currently flooding the markets and have come up with the models that have been used to end the struggle. According to latest statistics, world mobile users have greatly increased such that they have surpassed internet users. It has been stipulated that more than forty five million people use smartphones. The fact that almost everyone owns a phone can be attributed to the high quality advertising strategies in the present world (Newton, 2009). This increase in the numbers of the mobile users can only offer promoters hope that the market will soon become phenomenal. In the act of promoting mobile phones, it is essential to understand that most people typically are attached to them. For this reason, the more features a mobile phone offers the better and the more its promotion will result to the company’s prospected success. Most companies seem to have conducted enough research on characterized customer satisfaction, customer research, and products use, but seem to have forgotten to question directly from the customer of their expectations. The promoters need to realize that their aim is to satisfy the needs of their customers as they make extremely large amounts of money. In my opinion, the customers’ demands have not yet been reached despite having new models of phones in the market (Saulimen, 2011). This is because most people tend to keep their phones with them and can aspire to have the phones assist them in doing almost all of their activities. Take for instance, the smartphones that have greatly broken into the market. They have a lot of applications favoring some people in the community but for those who would like to use programs, they cannot do it via their phones. A company that can break into the market with such a marketable plan can greatly make profits as well as offer mobile phones with some programs. As stated above, technology improvements have caused great changes in the mobile phone market. For instance, the types of phone currently produced are technologically advanced although not to the expected standards. All companies dealing with the production of mobile phones seem to use similar technologies so there is a need for exemplary features that can be used to show the best products. In most cases, the unique features are the ones used in promoting any mobile phone that needs acceptance in the market. Take for instance, the apple company model of smartphone that has its android application (Newton, 2009). It was widely accepted in the market because of its slim nature yet it has all the applications present in other smart phones. Using this example, promotion of mobile phones is made successful if the promoters have a unique feature that they can rely on to woo the customers. It is essential to realize that most innovations are similar so most mobile phones will appear similar. However, a company can choose to ensure perfect promotion by increasing complexities in the technological innovations since most people like unique features in their handsets. Another example could be the addition of privacy and tracking services allocated on mobile phones and can be used for data location collection. This feature can be of great advantage during promotions since customers can be educated on its advantages (Gordob, 2010). For instance, these phones can be used to geographically locate the user of a specific handset despite its mode of operation. All businesses need marketing strategies that serve as the best for their customers. In addition, it’s essential to realize that the promotion has the best strategy of clearing up stipulated negative effects that come up with mobile phones. For instance, the claim by health organizations that continued use of these gadgets may pose a danger to humans’ health. This is due to the carcinogenic hazardous radiations that may cause brain cancer or other types of cancer. For an increase in the selling of mobile phones, it is essential to allow customers learn about the truths of these facts and that their use does not pose any danger. A lot of information is available on the ways of promoting mobile phones, the advantages of such practice and also some unrealistic ways used by some companies in promoting their products. For the achievement of success it is essential for a company to employ all measures that assist in spreading the knowledge about their products. Some of the most successful companies have used online advertisement whereby they have put information about their available devices. Other forms of promotions can be through the press and posters where the company uses the entire media to inform everyone on the availability of the goods and their advantages. Promotion enhances competition and for this reason companies should always be ready to employ new methods of promoting their items (Saulimen, 2011). As stated above, it is essential to ensure uniqueness in the manner of promotion and also appear as informative as possible. The success achieved in promotion can only be measured via the sales made on the type of phone promoted. References Gordob, J. (2010). promoting mobile phones. Promosales, P.p 3. Newton, A. (2009).
