According to the research findings, it can, therefore, be said that there are more than 2000 Chinas time-honored brand enterprises recognized in China, mainly concentrated in the catering trades, pharmaceuticals, and other industries. However, according to the current statistics, about 70% of Chinas time-honored brand enterprises have disappeared, while the majority of surviving the situation is a precarious business, and only 10% of the good economic form of scale is very small. As one of the old pharmaceuticals industries, Wong Lo Kat (whose old name is Guangzhou Yangcheng Pharmaceutical Co, Ltd) is a booming company.

It reached 1.5 billion, plus canned drinks, the total sales of which exceeds to 300 million CNY in 2003. From 1999 to 2003, the average growth rate of Wong Lo Kat was more than 25%, which is labeled as the success model of the combination between the traditional workshop and modern business, as well as a successful example of other traditional pharmaceuticals enterprises. Herbal tea is one kind of the teas which are formed through the Chinese herbal medicine in the regions of Guangdong and Guang Xi.

Generally speaking, it has the function of clearing heat and dampness. Wong Lo Kat is the most famous herbal tea among the old herbal teas. As time has gone by Wong Lo Kat has also become famous in the world. Wong Lo Kat’s development had its chance and special features to expand further. It created the transformation from a small company to a large company in one year. In its first stage, it faced some problems such as the confusion between the beverage and herbal tea and so on.
