? Marketing in Outer Space I will start a bed and breakfast hotel on the moon and be able to serve the people that come for tours. This is because the people that travel to outer space only stay in the spacecrafts because the moon is just an open space that is dark and endless. The people will have a break from the environment of the spacecraft and they will experience the environment of the moon. They will be able to look at the vast universe from the comfort of their beds. They will also be able to eat something different from the packed dried foods that they took on their journey to the moon. These foods have many preservatives that reduce their nutritional value. This bed and breakfast will offer them fresh preservative-free-foods. The bed and breakfast hotel will be cheap and affordable for the clients. The food and other supplies used in the hotel will be transported daily from earth by the aircrafts that visit the place. The bed and breakfast hotel will create more job opportunities for people on earth and a different environment. This business will also attract more people to travel to outer space as they have a guarantee of fun and a place to rest well while visiting the moon. The profits that will be generated from the bed and breakfast hotel will be used for expansion. My goal is to ensure that the clients receive that best services as they could receive back home. The place will ensure that guests are pampered and heal from the cramps they got while travelling. The new facilities will include rental houses for people who will be willing to work on the bed and breakfast hotel. They will be able to live with their families, which will make them work better because of emotional support. Their families will also start up other goods and services. This will make the clients that visit the area enjoy their stay and have access to quality services. I will expose the bed and breakfast business to all people because it is a new idea. This will influence them to make the tour to the moon. I will expose myself though the internet and through local broadcasting channels giving them a glimpse of what they should expect. I will also use pictures and videos taken from the bed and breakfast hotel so that they can see the environment of the hotel. The company will have the name experience the slumber to enhance the idea that sleeping on the moon while looking at the stars and the vast sky is a new experience. I will invest in other key things like rental houses. This will offer shelter for my employees so that they do not have to travel to earth frequently. I will look at other partners like the bankers and partners from service providing companies. This is because it will give them the opportunity to realize the business opportunities at the moon and open up banks and other service providing companies. This will lead to more clients coming to the moon as they will realize how they will still get the services that are offered on earth. Market Analysis The bed and breakfast hotel on the moon will be a luxurious place filled with many windows and open spaces. This will ensure that guests can experience and appreciate the new environment. The environment of the bed and breakfast will be different from that experienced at home. This will give the clients a new experience on the moon. The glass walls on different places on the hotel will make an excellent place for those who want to unwind while listening to music or reading a novel. The high security because of the low population on the moon will assure the clients that their property is safe from bandits. The roofs of the rooms that the clients will sleep will be made of bulletproof glass so that they have protection as well as experience the attractiveness of the universe as they slumber. The low cost of the bed and breakfast will ensure that it receives many clients from different areas of the world. The furniture and the paintings on the wall will be from indigenous places on earth. They will mostly express the traditional cultures of various places so that it has a feel of olden times and sterile environments. This will give the clients a feel of nature like the old times before everything was industrialized. This will give the clients away from home feeling because of the traditional environment. The place will offer relaxation and a place of comfort and unwind. This will be achieved through offering the guests with a place where they can get body massages. They will also have places where they can play indoor sports and listen to soft music. Market segmentation The bed and breakfast hotel will target tourists from the urban areas, as they are used to loud noises and air filled with pollution. This is because of the away from home feeling they will experience on the moon. The hotel will also target frequent travelers to the moon, as they are always tired of the aircraft environment. They would want to feel a peaceful place where they can get food and a cozy bed for the night. The visitors of the moon on an education trip will also be the target customers because of their large numbers. Moreover, they will now know they can visit the moon anytime and fun and a fine place to spend the night. In addition, when they get back home, they will spread their delightful experience, and make other people visit the moon and have a nice time and bed and breakfast hotel. A competing restaurant on the moon shows that they are receiving profits because of the increased number of tourists to the moon. This shows that the bed and breakfast hotel should always maintain its standards to ensure that most of the tourists of the moon prefer. Target market segment strategy The restaurant that the bed and breakfast is competing with is a place that does not offer cheap prices for its clients. Again, the restaurant is understaffed because they do not have a place where their staff can live. I envision to aggressively taking their clients by offering my staff of the bed and breakfast hotel a better deal. This is by ensuring they have a place in the hotel where they can spend the night (Herbert 157). This is in the meantime as I strategize to build them permanent residential where they can be paying rent. This is because when the staff is satisfied they will attend better to clients, and this will make the clients happy. Back home they will talk well about their experience in the moon, thus increasing the customers that visit the bed and breakfast. I will also ensure that the services I offer to clients are affordable. This is because I have an advantage over a bed and breakfast place, as I do not need to offer food to the clients the whole day (McKinney 47). This means that the cost of cooking and preparing meals is less and, therefore, the services I offer the clients should be affordable. I will also subscribe to the website services so that they can advertise the bed and breakfast and ensure that people have information about the place. I will also ensure that other modes of communication like the broadcasting channels have something to say about the bed and breakfast hotel on the moon (Pinson 112). The clients will get more exposure and information on the services provided. I will also make sure that they know the cost of the services so that they do not assume exaggerated prices. I will also open a website for bed and breakfast where people can pay before hand and just come stress free to enjoy the services. This will also reduce the commotion that can happen when a large number of guests arrive and all of them have to pay at the reception. Market needs The clients that can be interested in the bed and breakfast hotel are people who look for fun and a different experience. They are people who love traditional environments that make them feel peaceful and comfortable. Therefore, means that the clients are people who do not like heavy music and exotic things (Kurtz 20). Therefore, the bed and breakfast will seek to make the clients have a lovely stay that is full of relaxation and a place that can give them a view of the new environment. These clients are people who love to socialize and take trips on the new place, and they love their privacy. The bed and breakfast hotel will seek to ensure that the clients feel secure, the staffs are friendly, and there are areas that offer privacy to the people. Service business analysis The hotels in the moon are not numerous, and most of them are found in different places on the moon. Some of them are exotic and offer a quick place for business people to take a birth and go back to their business (McKinney 47). Other hotels found on the moon are for guests who are willing to spend a lot of money on their stay on the moon. Many of the clients who travel to the moon are not business people or those who are willing to stay for long periods. Most of them are people who came to visit the moon and experience the new environment for a short time before returning home. Again, because of the inadequate service providers like banking services, the visitors prefer to spend a short time of the moon and get back to their businesses on earth. Competition and buying patterns The bed and breakfast hotel offers a new experience to the people that are travelling on the moon. It seeks to ensure that they are comfortable. It also ensures that the clients receive security and feel protected throughout their stay. The bed and breakfast ensures that the clients feel that they are away from the noisy and busy places back home. The hotel ensures that the clients receive appropiate services like the good food that they will eat as well as the nice place they will sleep (Kawasaki 88). They will also enjoy other services that will make them feel relaxed like massage parlors and soft music offered at the bed and breakfast. The hotel opens its indigenous environment to the clients that will visit the place, and they thus experience a new way of life different from what they normally experience. The staff members and the clients will share the meals, and this will give a chance for clients to form strong relationships with the staff of the hotel. This will enable the staff to tell the clients about the area and other services that the hotel offers (Kawasaki 87). The staff will be able to know the things that satisfied clients and those that did not satisfy them. Through this, company can change some of the things that they do so that they can maximize the services they offer their clients. Nevertheless, this does not mean that the hotel will force all the guests to interact with the staff. The clients that love their privacy and do not want to share with other people can have their meals taken up to their rooms. The rooms are diverse and show the environment at different perceptive. Therefore, the clients on arrival can choose the places that they want to stay so that they can experience the environment that pleases them most (Kawasaki 87). This can also give the hotel a chance to identify the places that they can add facilities because most of the clients love that environment. Things like the reading area, the television area and the playing areas can be analyzed to see the places that the tourists love the most. The staff will treat the guests as their visitors and show them a lot of love instead of treating them as customers. The needs of the guests will take center stage and the staff will treat them with proper care. This will make the place a getaway for its customers, a place to unwind and relax. The staff will ensure that guests have the correct amount of interaction as well as privacy. They will only attend to them when the need arises instead of bombarding them with requests when they do not want them.
