The qualitative approach’s case study design was used because of its features that focus on a phenomenon of an entity for the development of in-depth information. Management training, as a phenomenon, was consistent with the feature and allowed for a comprehensive analysis of data. McDonald's, Kmart, and Quail Ridge Engineering were used as the study’s settings with their managers as the research participants and questionnaires as the data collection tools. This chapter presents the results of the study and contains four sections.

The first section describes the research participants and the second section describes the procedure that was applied in data analysis, while the third section presents the results of the study. The last section is a summary of the chapter. The study used participants from Quail Ridge Engineering, Kmart, and McDonald's. Quail Ridge Engineering is located in Guntown and had 20 associates and 5 managers. All of the five managers were used in the study and their small size and willingness to participate informed the inclusion.

Kmart is located in Corinth and had about 60 to 100 associates and 15 managers. Out of these, 15 managing staff were sampled and they participated in the study. The last company, McDonald's, located in Baldwyn, had a population of 44 associates and seven managers, from which the seven managers participated in the study. The following table summarizes the sample characteristics. The three entities were selected from Mississippi, though from different geographical locations for diversity purposes.

The organizations also differ in their areas of business. Kmart deals in home goods and products such as furniture and clothing, Quail Ridge Engineering offers engineering services such as design and distribution of engineering materials, training, and innovation of engineering products, while Mcdonald's is a fast-food restaurant. Table 4.1 shows the sample distribution of the research participants by their organizations.Kmart contributed the largest participants to the sample and McDonalds and Quail Ridge Engineering followed it respectively.

The main characteristic of the sample is their managerial positions in their respective organizations.
