Extract of sample "Safety Incentive Program"

Since the failure of an individual can affect the status of the whole group, it will promote a sense of collective responsibility among the members. They will be cautious about the unsafe act of their co-workers and will remind them of the significance of taking protective measures.Supervision over safety and housekeeping becomes more effective as the point system ensures enhanced responsibility. Since the point system will also affect supervisors’ performance, it will encourage them to be more responsible at work.

As Clarke S & Cooper C L (2004, p.90) state, safety performance is highly associated with employees’ safety behaviors. Ajax’s program will ease the tension of legal compliance and will reduce the company’s cost of operation.Other than mere legal compliance, the program renders employees good opportunities for group activity. Since the acquired points will be published, it will give them enough fun at the workplace. In short, the program will reduce workplace injuries and will enhance group cohesion and productivity.
