TQM Flow chart tends to show a representation of steps taken to complete a particular process in a sequential order. Flow charts are used to develop understanding of a procedure, studying process, document, and plan or communicate a process to others. A flow chart is a good tool to use initially in a process improvement project because it provides a way of controlling changes by providing a logical area of activity thus enabling improvement.
2. A quality team environment may have a shared understanding of processes thus enabling the team to develop a problem statement. There is a common approach to issues and improvements when flow chart is used with a team.
