 Introduction Managers have a huge role in the political analysis of any organization. This is because they have to find out ways and means through which they could look at building the organizational standing within the societal representative domains. The publics will get to know about the organization and hence it is important for this manager to present the correct picture of the various business undertakings taking place in the organization. The political analysis of the organization literally dissects the different mechanisms through which it takes care of the deliverables that essentially emanate from the organizational stronghold, and for the sake of the common men and women on the street. The managers need to find the best possible ways through which they can present the alleviated stance of the organization. This is done so that the organization understands the needs and requirements of the public, for which it exists in essence. The managers act as the representatives of the organization and hence the face of its varied business entities (Greenberg 2003). Whatever these managers do in the long run signifies the very basis of growth and development, for the sake of the organization (Stepina 1994). The company’s political position is thus dependent on the way these managers present the real picture as well as give a charter for the things to shape up in the future. This paper discusses the implications of the managers as they develop the required skills within the political analyses of the organizational values and principles. First it is found out as to why the political analysis of the organization is deemed as significant in the time and age of today. The reason for this is that the political analysis gives a good measure of the strengths that exist within the organization and the opportunities that it could touch upon in the future. It can also establish its very basis within the industrial domains and tell the relevant players in the industry that this organization means business just like them. It can easily outline the areas where the organization wishes to emphasize these strengths and create the much needed difference. So basically what this political analysis does is to create a clear cut basis for the organization, both from a short term perspective as well as in the long run scheme of things. When this political analysis is chalked out, the relevant players within the industry are presented the very tenets so that they could understand where they need to see the changes that this organization will essentially hit upon (Daley 1991). The competitive levels will be exploited by this organization and hence a sense of intense rivalry will be witnessed in the coming times. Therefore it is of paramount significance to relate the political analysis with the way the organization will carry out its processes, tasks and business undertakings. This will lay the foundation stone for the success regimes of the organization, both from a local standpoint, as well as globally; however the domain could always be adjusted to suit the needs of the stakeholders and customers (Weiss 2002). The political manager has a number of tasks which he needs to accomplish. He must assert his authority by deciding what the future course of action will be, for the sake of the organization. He has the duty to keep the top management abreast of the changing dynamics of the business and indeed the entire related industry. The changes coming about locally as well as internationally are studied, analyzed and presented to the top management so that he could have the approval of the people who matter the most as far as the organizational realms are concerned. The political manager discusses the strengths of the industry and then he outlines where his organization needs to lay its focus upon. After this has been achieved, he discusses the pertinent strengths of the organization that he is having the political analysis for and tries to locate the organization’s place within the map of the entire industry (Hollway 1991). This is an important consideration as it exactly outlines the manner in which the organization will make changes and react to the sudden attacks by the competitors. The political pressure groups and similar tangents are also discussed at length by this political manager, who by now has discerned that it is a mighty tough task to comprehend the rationale behind having the political analysis for the said organization (Watson 2005). The skills of the political manager need to be in line with the requirements of his position. He must be ready and willing to go all out and must attack the competitors’ weak areas so that he could exploit the areas of strength for his own organization. His role is a very important as he finds out the best possible deal for the organization, from a truly political standpoint. His assertions are usually held very valid when the top management has a decision to make (Miner 2002). His advice is considered with utmost seriousness because the top management knows that the political manager has done his homework in an adequate way and the implementation phase can only come about when his points are considered from the seriousness tangent. More than anything else, the manner in which the political manager goes about completing the political analysis for his organization is something that gives the top management a lot of confidence about his abilities and what he can actually deliver on a consistent basis (Alvesson & Willmot 2003). His concrete skills are thus held in a very important light as far as the implementation phase is related. Nearly all his observations are taken into serious consideration so that the organization could achieve its due place within the political environment of the local area or when the top management decides to think globally, then the emphasis is on understanding his points from the international perspectives (Zauderer 2005). This is indeed the most essential point of the domain related with the political manager. If the managers lack these skills, it is a given that the political analysis of the organization will not be carried out in a proper manner. There would be serious issues in the wake of achieving the objectives and end goals that the company’s top management had envisaged in the past. Thus it is very important that such an individual is recruited for this job who understands the intricacies related with this job position (Tsoukas 1994). He must be at home with nearly all the requirements that this job demands of him. He must have a very diplomatic perspective within the political spheres of the area or country that he wishes to operate in, under the direct aegis of the organization. He must have solid and durable links with the other managers of the organizations, falling under the same industrial domains, as well as the stakeholders with which he could negotiate and literally have his way for the sake of the organization. The need is to remain one step ahead of his job and this could only be possible when he knows what he is going to do with his job focus (Menzel 1999). The end result will be visible when he is able to achieve serious (positive) results for the company. The political analysis of the organization is thus immensely significant in the wake of this organization falling into a political fiasco with the different publics. The role of the stakeholders becomes very pivotal as they will help the political manager overcome the problems (Pierce 1999). The political analysis of the organization has become a necessity in the time and age of today. This is because only those organizations which have a solid standing within the publics are now able to have their way most of the times. The ones which fall flat on their face whilst coming out clean in front of the publics usually lose out (Sunkin 1999). This is indeed an anomaly in the most basic working conditions of the latter since such companies are playing with their strengths in a very negative overtone. The significance of such negative perspectives is severe towards the long haul scheme of things and the figures do not do justice with the basis of the organization and the capital that has already been invested within its reigns (Kemp 2006). This is something that comes about as a serious problem and efforts are underway to equip such companies with the right mix of political managers and related agents who could do justice with its very existence. The political manager brings about a fresh change in guard, presents the true worth of the organization and basically looks to build the organization under tumultuous times. This is an important position and one that should be given quite a lot of emphasis by the top management domains of any organization. The results speak for their own selves as there are immense advantages and absolutely none drawbacks by having a regime which presents the political analysis on a consistent basis, for the well-being and effectiveness of the organization (Jones 1995). The managers are assisted immensely by the political procedures as drafted by the government from time to time. This is a very good point that must come under the heading of political analysis of the organization as it resolves quite a few impediments. The political manager needs to remain on his feet with regards to the changes that are happening on the bureaucratic and governmental levels and he must be conveyed the same by his acquaintances and friends who are at the helm of affairs (Rousseau 1997). A close liaison with the people who matter most within the state machinery always helps the cause of the political manager within the completion of political analysis of the organization for his own organization. He will therefore be in a better position to call the shots if he knows beforehand where his organization must manifest its own self in a true fashion, in order to extract the best possible returns financially as well as in terms of industry wide acceptance. The companies working under the auspices of this industry thus have a duty to remain steadfast as per their respective actions and show where they could prove to be helping agents for the government in the long run (Corn 2000). The political analysis of the organization is indeed important as it paves the way for a number of different aspects and issues – not only from the short term perspective but also in the long run. The skills of the political manager will come in handy in such situations as he demands a place of his own within the political climate of the country and makes his own moves, keeping in line with the strengths and weaknesses of the organization itself. He is the best judge as far as finding out how much his organization can suffer amid the financial crisis and the political pressure that is exerted upon different industrial settings (Dozier 1995). Conclusion In the end, it would be proper to suggest that the political analysis of an organization could be a tricky process if its political manager is not home with most of the nuances related with handling the political undertakings. It is best advisable to take care of such issues in a manner where the correct picture of the organization is presented to the different publics, on a consistent basis (Sims 2002). The role of the organization is thus dependent upon the shoulders of the political manager and he must make sure that his actions are given appreciation by the top management. This can only happen when his comments and opinions are implemented for the sake of betterment within the organization (Dawson 1996). This will have a very clear basis of its role coming out in the open and the political analysis happening to good effect for the sake of the organization. All said and done, the concrete skills of the political manager will eventually decide how true the political analysis has been and how the organization will fare from a political standpoint.
