A1: My greatest accomplishment so far is having exhibited exemplary work ethics and compliance to standards with the aim of supporting educational needs and goals. At a young age, I have realized that to succeed in life, one need to clearly establish the objectives that I want to achieve and design workable strategies to assist in attaining them. So far, through hard work, persistence, continued savings, I am on my way to complete my Health Care Management course, the key for my attaining the Health Care Management position I had always dreamed of. Q2: How do you address setbacks or challenges that prevent you from achieving the goals you set? A2: First of all, I realize that challenges are opportunities to do better. Setbacks could indeed get me out of my original course, but I have always found my route back to the track where I am supposed to trek. Otherwise, I see these setbacks and challenges as blessings in disguise that lead me to better directions that indicate that my original goal could be transformed to something greater. Q3: The position open is for a managerial position, I see from your resume that you have had several managerial experiences as Store Manager and Warehouse Manager, how do you perceive any difference in the role of a health care manager from those that you previously assumed? A3: I strongly believe that the role of a health care manager is more challenging, but rewarding, in terms of the areas being managed. As a store manager, by basic responsibility was to increase production and output by increasing sales. As a warehouse manager, I focused on inventory levels of goods. But as a health care manager, I would be governing people, clients, and the health care needs of patients. It could be a more delicate position given that one’s decision could greatly affect the health condition of a client’s life; however, I see it more as a rewarding role in terms of potentials for helping those in need of health care services so that their lives would be improved through access to exemplary services and plans. Q4: How do you see yourself five or ten years from now? A4: I would like to pursue higher education in health care management, to possibly earn my master’s degree. I have always recognized the need for continuous education as a means to hone personal and professional knowledge, skills and abilities to meet increasing demands from one’s work and to match the changing needs imposed by external factors from our environment. I would like to be promoted to higher levels on the organizational ladder. Q5: If you will be accepted by the organization for the position you applied for, what would be the first thing that you would do for the organization? A5: Of course, after thanking you, I would undertake the responsibilities noted in my job responsibilities over the service area assigned. I will orient myself with the people I am to interact with on a daily basis; the tasks that need to be prioritized and done; and find out ways to improve them so that we would be serving our clients more in ways that would exceed their expectations.
