One is supposed to address all the employee relations issues, as well as matters associated with the performance management as per the policies of the organization, ‘state legal requirements’, and the federal requirements. The position is meant to oversee the overall human resources functions in the area. Suitability for the position Human resources manager position is a position that requires the handler to have knowledge on how to handle employee issues and all matter associated with human resources. The role of Human Resources Manager is the same in most of the organisations and companies because it involves dealing with issues associated with employees and employees are found in all companies and organisations. The position involves all the employee relations and the management of performance issues. On the other hand, the company deals with storage and delivery of fuel to be used by specialty vehicles, buses, as well as ‘heavy duty trucks’. The conduct of human resources activities is the same in different organisations and companies and having the experience as a human resources manager in the food processing company makes me qualify for the position in this company. The company deals with employees who are recruited through the human resources manager. I am fit for the job. This is because I have the required skills, as well as the qualifications. In addition, I have the required level of education and years of experience because I have been working as a Human Resources Manager in a food processing company for five years, thus having enough experience on how to handle employee issues and different functions of human resources. I have experience in different computer packages and their applications. I have the ability to make proper decisions about issues related to human resources and enough skills in problem solving where I apply critical thinking skills to come up with a relevant and effective solution. I have skills associated with communication processes because I have been attending professional meetings in the previous company. In addition, I have been reporting to the director of the human resources about all the employee issues. I have also been addressing employees about issues related to their payment, training, performance, and benefits in an effective manner. Additionally, I have skills about hiring because in the food processing company, I have been involved in all recruitment activities for the last five years. This made me have good understanding of how to select employees as per their qualification and the requirements of the company. I also know how to conduct interviews to employees in order to select the most suitable candidate for a specific employment position. I have enough experience in training different employees for different positions either individually or as a group after recruiting them in the company. I have skills and knowledge about human resources management where I understand the issues related to employees in a company. I understand the need of keeping employees informed about their benefits for working in the company. In addition, I know how to listen to issues raised by employees in an organisation in order to allow their retention to the company and improvement of the company’s performance. I also have knowledge in preparing all programs associated with human resources as required by a company management or the director of human resources. This is where I ensure that there is thorough monitoring of the employees while at the workplace and proper implementation of the human resource requirements. I also ensure maintenance of performance records and strict investigation of how the company is managed in different departments. I ensure following up of the work results of different employees, offering training programs and education to allow improvement of their skills. I ensure that employees are ready for the assignments associated with their employment positions through the conduct of orientation during recruitment. I have skills on how to discipline employees fairly and appreciating them for good performance. I offer hearing ear to employees when there are some disputes and ensure effective resolving of the employee grievances at the workplace. I have experience of planning for employee management conferences where employees learn different things associated with their professional conduct and ethics. I have skills and understanding of the employment laws and the ‘laws against sexual harassment’ where I ensure implementation of such rules at the workplace by all employees and the management team in a company.
