Moreover, as the causality of characters is transformed into new dimensions, the course of events also brings out quite different results with regards of epical scenario that Homer had provided in Iliad. Concerning to the adaptation, there is always a constitutional intellectual liberty to reproduce numerous works in one’s own interpretation, but how much Hollywood’s traditions and public-demand had affected the overall modulation in story of Iliad is a matter of analysis. Philosophical and literal ground of Iliad In an age of empires when Homer had crafted his immortal tale of Iliad, most of world had been surrendering to only two types of powers.

As he asserts: O Jove, most glorious, most great dark-cloud-collector, dwelling in the air, may not the sun set, nor darkness come on, before I have laid prostrate Priam's hall, blazing, and consumed its gates with the hostile _re; and cut away Hector's coat of mail around his breast, split asunder with the brass; and around him may many comrades, prone in the dust, seize the earth with their teeth (Homer, 500 B.C.).
In Iliad, this setback is crafted among the events which are quite different, and more elaborative, than the sequences depicted in the movie Troy. Major concerns of Movie as compared to Iliad While in the movie Troy whole attention is focused over Helen’s abduction, Iliad has a much deeper setback of Trojan War which had been a result of a continuous rivalry between Greeks and Spartans. Also, in Iliad, gods play a very important role, as plague spread of Apollo’s curse is a determining factor in Agamemnon’s hesitation to proceed for attack over Greeks (Winkler, July 2006).
For example Nester asserts about Agamemnon dream considering it to be ate for all the army: O friends, generals and counselors of the Argives, if any other of the Greeks had told this dream, we should have pronounced it a fabrication, and withdrawn ourselves [from the reciter]. But now he has seen it, who boasts himself [to be] by far the greatest man in the army. But come on, if by any means we can arm the sons of the Greeks (Homer, 500 B.C.). Similarly, it is Zeus evoking a dream to Agamemnon which leads him to reconcile his army for attack.
Achilles’ affection to Braises is dragged into centre attention which is quite a secondary plot in Iliad as Achilles is not driven by his affections but by his existential thought.
