ANIMAL RIGHTS The need for Animal Rights The use of animals for as food has been the main issue of debate. Over the years, the debate has been on whether the animals are treated fairly in the process or not. The debate over the years has been on the rights of animals. Do animals have rights if not how should they be treated. The truth is animals have a feeling. Throughout history, the relationship of domestic animals has proven that there is a connection between the emotion animal and the keeper. For instance, a dog stayed on the owners grave guarding it for over fifteen years. During the time, it left only two hours in a day to look for food. The connection indicates that the animal is totally developing a genuine relationship with the owners. Dogs are the best companions and pets that are kept by the people. Dogs offer loyal and strong relationship and connection with the owners (Owen, 2009, p. 90).
The owners need to be careful and take care of the animals better. The most cared for animals are the pets while the other animal is either mistreated or dealt with in a way that does not reflect courtesy and humility. The care of animals has not been considered in the past leading to the creation of animal rights. Just like human rights, animal rights deal with protection of animals to ensure they are handled with care in all the undertaking (Owen, 2009, p. 45). However, animal rights have not been able to address the situation of the animals. In Africa for instance, donkeys have been overworked with little time to graze. A donkey can work for over eight hours during the day. The work given to it is so strenuous that the animal is only preserving.
In addition, the animals are not accorded vet care whatsoever. Even in dire circumstances animals are forced to work even at night. The success of the animal rights is dependent on the personal choices. Do you intend to protect the animals or use them as part of the food stuff or protection animals? The animals that are taken care of by the state such as the police dogs are entitled to services such as sick off, leaves and salary which may not be accorded to other animals such as the oxen and cows. The protection of some animals with the caption on of the edible ones is a sign of discrimination. It is true that humanity can live without eating flesh foods and live to an old age (Owen, 2009, p. 78). A case in point is in India where animals are considered divine especially the cow. The treatment of such animals in India indicates courtesy and humility.
However, other sections of the world have people have engaged in flesh eating. The consumption of the animal proteins has led to the development of a serious problem for the people’s health. More Americans are becoming obese because of over consumption of flesh foods. Animals are killed every day in a heart touching way that makes the animal’s rights and illusion. With the animal’s deaths, the major question that can be asked is it worth it? The truth is it is not worth it because the animals must be treated with kindness and courtesy. The suitability of the animal proteins has been questioned in the past with the indication on the effects of the gene modifications, and flesh foods on the health (Owen, 2009). The overconsumption of flesh leads to serious problems in health as witnessed in the declining health quality of the American citizens based on nutrition.
Animals should be left to enjoy their lives to the dullness without being killed for food or other issues. Humans are busy sentencing each other for the murder of humans, but they fail to see that the killing of animals is a wrong move. The question asked is why we should sentence a human to death because he killed another man while a butcher who has killed over million animals in his entire. The case should be reviewed because; in both cases, some life has been taken away. To solve the problem of animal rights, the eating of flesh should be abolished, to stop the merciless killing of animals. Death is death regardless of how it occurs and the reasons for the occurrence. The truth of the situation is based on the leaving of the animals to enjoy their lives (Owen, 2009). Animal rights still remains the key to protecting animals with individual responsibility being the key to the change in the protection methods. The animal rights are vital in the society because the current state of affairs demands a quick response to the problem.

Guns should not be allowed
The guns should not be allowed in school despite the efforts and the notion that it may lead to reduction of the rape cases. History has proved that college students do not have proper emotional balance to handle arms safely. The main problem with the arms is the ease of operation and can be sued to kill others who it was not intended to be used. For instance, a student is having a problem with other class mates and decides to shoot them what happens is a serious homicide because he or she is in possession of arms. The truth is that there are other methods that can be employed to solve the problem of rape. Devices such as the anti-rape condoms are easy to use, but quite essential. The eye sprays and other protection devices without the ability to kill are better placed to solve the problem rather that the use allocation of guns to the students. Guns should not be allowed in school whatsoever.
