Raci is faced with the challenge of having to take hormone shorts off the street, and at times this seems to affect her class attendances which seem to be worrying her professors. Another transgendered student is a Master's candidate in Student administration at Michigan University who is faced with the challenge of having to one day make his family who considers her a female understand that she is a male. In episode five, he is faced with the challenge of getting romantically involved with another student (Simmons, 2005). Gabbie, a student pursuing Computer Science at the University of Colorado has to cope with the challenge of being the youngest candidate to undergo a gender reassignment surgery. Will he later be accepted by her family as being female and not male? It is evident in Episode five of the documentary, which not all of these transgendered and transsexual student have been accepted and loved in the single-sex colleges that they opted to join. Just as in the YouTube video clip on love and acceptance, single-sex colleges should handle such students with love and acceptance because they were created so by God. Therefore, to help them in their transition to being a male or a female, love, and acceptance would suffice (TBCvideoATL, 2010).

Lack of acceptance and love has made Lucas a Neurology Senior at Smith College feel so alienated. Society, her family, and some of her college mates consider and see Lucas as a female, but she wants to liver her life as a male. Lucas is faced with the challenge of defending his thesis in Episode five of the Transgenerational documentary (Simmons, 2005).

A transgendered or transsexual student would want to attend a single-sex college just as gay partners or lesbians would want to attend the Tabernacle Baptist church – they want a place where they would feel loved and accepted. It is natural that attending a single-sex college would cushion such students from challenges of gender discrimination. Normally, transgendered students will tend to dress like the sex they believe they are as opposed to what the community believes. For instance, a student believed and considered by his family and friends as being male may choose to dress as a female. Such a student will only feel comfortable in an all-female environment where gender discrimination of questions may not be asked. Such a person would feel secure, protected, loved, and accepted in such an environment.

Transgenerational documentary shows how same-sex education is based on a single model of gender and assumed heterosexuality. Many such schools have sprung in the US as indicated in the documentary. Male students who consider themselves females join all-female colleges while female students who think they are male join all-male colleges. However, this might turn out to be problematic in the sense that, these students may begin their gender transitioning in these institutions but when they leave, they will or may be faced with serious social issues given that the society is an all-gender environment. They may also be faced with family and social acceptance issues as we can see in the case of T.J. whose mother knows is a female and has decided to transition into a male. As students, teachers, colleagues, spiritual leaders, and bosses, we are expected to offer love and acceptance to such persons and not discriminate against them. This would help foster their social, academic, and spiritual development. Just as is seen and argued in the Tabernacle Baptist Church video on love and acceptance, accepting, and showing love to such persons helps in their development as individuals and society. This is because we are all God’s creation, and God as we know Him is perfect, and thus these persons are just as much His creation as we are (TBCvideoATL, 2010).
