Spherical associations work in a surrounding featuring cross customary deviations. A nation’s customs affects the conduct of enterprises as well as the conduct of persons within the enterprise. When trading with another nation, due attention is accorded to any customary deviations that may be presented for example, cultures, habits and motions. This could be seen as interference by the host culture. Some customs have a powerful sense of patriotism and thus more relaxed and ready to buy from companies with some form of state support. To abstain from clashing, it’s best to shun debating on any political issues that don’t straightforwardly relate to the business at hand (Brown, 2016) Challenges in cross cultural business environments Non-adaptive attitude When getting into a separate cultural environment, some persons are likely to shun exposure or the knowledge of the guest custom which gives way to reserved habits and closed way of thinking thus missing out on current knowledge to experience and fit to new customs. This worsens the trade connections (Malik,2015).The ethic of the story is that it is necessary to become continuously aware of the cultural starting points of our own attitudes, understanding, convictions and principles to allow us to see any connection from a cultural outlook. Ethnocentrism Is the adopting that the custom of one’s own group straight, ethical and logical and that other customs are lower in stature. When faced with a distinct culture, persons judge it in relation to their own measures and make no attempt to examine the current custom from the guest nation’s perspective. Such an act features discriminatory listening and value conclusions which influences quality of interaction between the two customs (Malik, 2015). It is in order to first accept that there exists different cultures and appreciate the diversity around the world. No culture is better than the other as each has distinct features that make it stand out. Ambiguity Ambiguity comes into the interaction procedure when we don’t entirely understand the environment of our own customs and those of the outsider. When persons from various customs come together they are likely to adopt certain things ignoring the conflicts in interaction styles and custom principles. This gives way to circumstances whereby the receptor of the information misses part of the message and creates a wrong understanding of surrendered information. It is important for one to be in touch with their own culture first before they can understand any other culture. Understanding one’s own culture will lead to an even better understanding and appreciation of other cultures and ease the networking process. Approaches to a successful cross cultural communication Understanding the communication style Diverse customs have distinct interaction styles. Customs are partitioned into high and low surrounding customs. Understanding the different cultures helps in communicating better as it is the beginning of understanding and development of relationships that could lead to pursuing of viable business opportunities. Intercultural management skills Inter-cultural concerns such as sex, faith, sexual preferences, ethnicity and other customary agents may cause disagreements that may lead to worker discontent and dropped efficiently (University alliance,2016).In reaction to recent changing trade surrounding, it is appropriate to prepare practice agreements answering to clashes by structuring a more inclusive and regardful corporate custom. Managers with strong inter cultural knowledge can help popularize group efficiency by clearing misunderstandings and having various training programmes. It is also crucial to form inter-cultural knowledge among workers as learning about customary variations can open up new tracks to imaginative enterprise and difficulty solving procedures. Conclusion Networking across different cultures can be successful if one understands and is able to adapt to the new culture. Each culture being different requires to be treated differently as what is acceptable to one culture may not be acceptable to the other. When conducting business or creating relationships, needs, tastes and preferences need to be tailored to fit within their culture because if they reject it, the business is likely to suffer a loss. It is also important to develop a relationship first while learning and adapting to the culture before conducting business so as to avoid major pitfalls that may be encountered due to unawareness.
