I agree with this strategy, because companies like Amazon, eBay, and Google provide real-life success stories of its implementation. There are many examples of successful exposures to quote while those of failures have not surfaced yet. Amazon’s use of ScoutPal and Barcode helped improved its business. Google Adsense and Google Adwords cut down the costs and maximized the profits. This not only enabled these companies to come up with new products and services but also improved the developers’ productivity on the other hand.

The risks involved in the process include but are not limited to access of external entities to the sensitive data of the company, issues of data security and data integrity, and increased susceptibility to getting the company’s name down. Q. 4 Answer Examples of companies that have used this strategy like Amazon, eBay, and Google include Facebook, Yahoo, and Youtube.

Adoption of this strategy has helped these companies grow and has also provided the entrepreneurs and developers to use these companies as a medium to expand their businesses. Q. 5 Answer Risks involved in opening the databases to entrepreneurs and developers are many, some of which are loss of company’s reputation, entrepreneurs’ and developers’ access to sensitive data, and issues of data security and integrity. Although these risks cannot be completely avoided, yet there are certain safeguards that companies opting for this strategy need to put in place to protect themselves from these kinds of risks.

For example, the companies should have
