The paper “The Role of Training and Development Programs in Predicting Employee Job Satisfaction” is a creative example of human resources thesis. Modern theories of training and staff development have been introduced to the training methods purposely to keep the staff members skilled, motivated, and knowledgeable. According to Manu (2004), training is a process that involves teaching new employees the basic skills they need in order to perform or achieve satisfactory jobs. It is a learning experience that seeks for a relatively permanent change among the individuals that is aimed at improving their abilities to perform their jobs too satisfactorily.

Each organization is required to have well trained, adjusted as well as experienced employees who can efficiently handle their duties. Therefore, training may involve the revolutionizing of skills, attitudes, knowledge, and behaviors. Additionally, it can involve changing what the employees already know, on the ways of how they ought to work, their interaction with fellow coworkers or supervisors, and attitudes toward their attitudes. Training is currently oriented and focuses on the individual’s existing jobs as well as the enhancement of their abilities in order to perform well.

However, training should not mainly focus on the new employees only, but even on the old employees who should be involved in the periodical training so as to ensure that their knowledge is updated.The future-oriented training that focuses on the personal growth of individuals employees, for instance when an employee becomes a promoted supervisor, implies that his or her newly acquired job would require such an individual to ensure that the subordinates under his control perform all their duties well.

As a result, his grooming is very much needed prior to his responsibilities and this is referred to as employees’ development. Every organization should plan or carry out its employees’ development with an aim of keeping it functioning more efficiently.The underlying principle for emphasizing the training as well as the development of the employees is to create a pool of readily available and satisfactory replacements for the person who may abruptly leave or shift to the upward lines within the organization.
