Poor health throughout their life has a significant effect on life expectancy and professionals are seen to live longer than the people who are associated with unskilled labor.Children who live in a state of poverty are likely to live in a situation of bad housing and this has considerable effects on their mental as well as physical health and consequently their educational achievements. The poverty that is associated with fuel among other commodities is also detrimental to the full development of children.

This can be seen in the manner in which some families are forced to makes choices between having food and heating for their houses. Even though play areas are more in number in the poorer neighborhoods, the quality of these play areas is wanting.

These play areas which otherwise would have been good facilities are subject to vandalism and misuse while also posing the danger of injuries to the children who use them.It is shocking that children born to the social classes that are considered higher and wealthier are expected to live longer than those who are born to the relatively poor ones. Social class should not be a factor that determines the rate of mortality and the number of years that a person is supposed to live since all life is precious.
