There are quite a number of considerations that should be taken by the managers in developing strategies for staff training and development. First and foremost, the managers should identify the gap that exists in terms of the training requirements of the employees. After identifying the training needs of the employees, the managers should then decide the strategies that can be implemented in order to train and develop the employees. Currently, I work Qatari Dairy and I am convinced that the implementation of learning and development have been very effective since they have helped in improving the knowledge among different people about different aspects related to their work.

This has also helped to improve the skills of the employees which in turn has improved their overall performance within the organization. The main strength of implementation is that it is hands on and on the job. The employee gains the much needed experience through the implementation process and is in a better position to understand what is required of them. However, the only weakness is that this process may be met with resistance if it does not take into account the needs and interests of the employees.

This could be improved through implementing training programs that are designed to fulfill the interests of the employees. Socialization plays a very important role in developing a dedicated, loyal and productive employee. Basically, socialization takes into account the process through which the employees adapt the culture of the company (Robbins, 1993). This in turn helps shape the behaviour of the employees which should influence their performance. Employee training and management development are some of the essentials that are fulfilled by socialization.

Essentially, socialization helps create mutual understanding among the members of the organization such that they can freely share their ideas and knowledge which can help improve the performance of the organization as a whole.
