Extract of sample "Representing the Meaning Using Figurative Expressions"

Lion is the cruelest beast but still shows compassion. Compassion is not normal among humans. White brings out the beast nature of humans. Humans describe wild animals as beasts while they are much more dangerous than beasts. Augustus' reading on ‘taking gold out of Egypt’ is also metaphoric as it has more than just the surface meaning. Egypt had every reason to scare the Israelites. However, as the Israelites left Egypt, they carried gold with them. This ideology means that not all that appears dreadful is entirely bad with any use at all. The image where the beasts lick their cubs is metaphoric as it shows the caring nature of beasts. They have a sense of family, care and concern as well. They understand the concept of responsibility. This was done to challenge humankind, to show that the wild and brute can care and demonstrate love as well. The metaphor is used to make humankind think of their actions and any other related aspects of life.
