For instance, previously, there are some diseases that did not have cure. However, with continuous research, many medical practitioners have been able to engage different avenues of finding a lasting cure for such problems (Harrington and Estes, 2008). Currently, medical practitioners are involved in different research to find ways of curing other contagiousdiseases that are affecting people. As such, the world has been able to control some diseases that have been affecting people adversely. For instance, in the wake of swine flu, medical practitioners did not have a vaccine to protect other people from infection.
However, with elaborate research, there is a vaccine for swine flu. This protects other people from contracting the same. Research is vital in that it provides affordable health care. Previously, health care has been expensiveand inaccessible to many people. However, research has been vital in ensuring peopleaccess health careservicesat all times. For instance, research findswaysofproducing affordablehealthcareby providing better waysofproducing drugs. This reduces the costsincurred by thepeoplethat need theservices.
Similarly, research helps in developing healthy community asawhole. Research enrichespeoplewith knowledge on better health practices andbehavior. In addition to this, research has helpededucatethe practitionersin themedical sector. For instance, nurses are taught on howtodeal with emergent cases in themedical sector. This will improve on the quality of services offered in the medical practice. In essence, research has helped to improvethequality of services. Thismeansthat people will appreciate the servicesoffered.
Health care research is useful in today’s world in various specific ways. For instance, medical research is divided into two major categories. First, there are clinical trials which are sets of tests conducted in development of drugs. In thisaspect, drugs are tested to configure theirsafety while in use. As such, researchers find more information about the safety of the drugs when they are used by patients. Drugs could have other effects on a patient depending on their body reactions. Therefore, research in medical sector has to be concretely done to ensure people have lesser effects.
Therefore, researching on the adverse effects of the drugs on the patient will ensure the patients are using drugsthat will not have dire effects (Harrington and Estes, 2008). Apparently, these sets of tests are only conducted after gathering satisfactory information. Therefore, authorities have to make sure they find concrete information by research and paving way for subsequent tests. Similarly, researchers find more information about other treatment interventions which include therapies, diagnostic exercises and protocols.
These treatments have been successful with constant research. Secondly, there are the preclinical researches which are conducted prior to clinical trials. These are trialswhich are done to drugsto determine their safety on humans. For instance, some researchers consider pharmacodynamics, which are tests conducted on drugs to confirm the effect to the body. Similarly, there are pharmacokinetics which aretests conducted to ascertain the effects of the body to drugs. With all these information, researchers find it easy to continue with their research.
Though the medical researchers in the medical practice have the positive attributes, there are some causes of concern. There are various implications that come with
