Extract of sample "The Need to Be Fit"

Due to current instances of increased diabetes and obesity in the world, most doctors and therapists insist on fitness mainly resulting from regular physical exercises. The need to be fit requires regular’s exercise, which must be increasing daily. Once the goal has been set to achieve a certain goal over fitness the need to assess the progress is necessary. This is the point where fitness assessment is required (Gwen Robbins). There are various types of fitness assessment tests depending on the type of exercise and the part of the body undergoing physical development. Most of the assessments will include battery test for cardio and respiratory capacities of the individuals, which is mostly exercised aerobically. There are also tests for muscle endurance and strength. Assessments can also be done to check on muscle flexibility and the condition of the body composition. Body composition entails measuring the condition of the skin folds, which is a real sense measures the number of body fats. While assessing flexibility, the therapists are mainly concerned about the hamstrings, which is the muscle at the back of the thigh. In muscular strength evaluation, the therapists are checking on the ability to do push-ups, vertical jumps, and handgrip strengths. A fitness assessment is important since it helps in the evaluation of the progress of the person undertaking the exercise (Gwen Robbins). The information from the assessment is also important for doctors who might be treating sportsmen. A fitness assessment is also important since it provides feedback to both the therapist and the person undertaking the exercise since it acts as a point of motivation for both of them. Fitness in general also helps in overcoming certain diseases such as diabetes, obesity, and many others. Fitness assessment helps a person to reach optimal health since it provides feedback on the rate at which the body's physical condition is reacting to the exercises. This helps in enduring other rigorous physical activities that require one to attain maximum physical fitness (Gwen Robbins).
Hypothesis 1
I have limited (Range in Motion) ROM in hamstrings and overdeveloped quadriceps. I need to restrict my strength training in the lower body until the ROM improves through my hamstrings. If I can restrict my lower body strength training and stick to a flexibility program until I improve the ROM in my hamstrings, I will be able to strengthen my hamstrings so my quadriceps are not so imbalanced to the quadriceps. The goal is to improve hamstring ROM and restrict quadriceps training.
Hypothesis 2
I am also experiencing a low fitness level and cannot complete a one-mile walk every morning as part of my regular exercise. If I can do regular exercise of running with a treadmill, I will be able to build up my oxygen level in the body and effectively complete a one-mile walk.
Cardiovascular fitness involves taking regular exercises on the treadmill and measuring the amount of time taken to complete the exercise.
My methods were reliable and my results valid since I can be able to apply the same method and get consistent results. The tests can also be done by other people and the same results and be obtained. My hypothesis was correct especially on increasing the level of heart rate in order to effectively complete the 1-mile walk. While treating the hamstring the procedure was well given in order to develop all the parts needed for the development. The possible difference that may occur between the proposed hypothesis and the results include the errors that I might have undergone. This includes errors in recording my results, errors in time management, and errors in low physical intensities. There are also possible errors in the instruments used to conduct the experiment.
Comments
My favorite assessment areas include the hamstring and aerobics. Read More
