Atlanta, Georgia Across the globe, there are different cities, which represent the diversity of culture, tradition, and lifestyle of numerous people.Atlanta is one of the cities of the world that is the home for millions of people. Atlanta is a well-known city of the world. The city is the capital of Georgia and is ranked 15th in terms of global economic growth and 6th among all the cities in the nation. According to the2014 census GDP of the city accounted $270 billion (World Population Review, “Atlanta population 2014”).
Atlanta is a mix cultural city, people of dissimilar races reside in the city. According to the 2010 census, the percentage of the African American population is higher than other races such as white, Asian, Native American and other races. Atlanta city is also known as black mecca because it is the fourth largest mainstream city of black people in the nation. Recently, the percentage of black people had declined considerably. The percentage dropped from the 61.4% to 54% in 2010. On the other hand, the white percentage the White people population has been exceeded, in the city from 31% to 38% in 2010 (World Population Review, “Atlanta population 2014”).
According to the 2014 census, population of Atlanta has been growing rapidly. Accordingly, 450,000 people are identified to be the proper populaces of the city while 5.45 million people are determined to reside in the Atlanta metropolitan area. Atlanta is one of the fastest growing cities of the world. According to the 2014 census, Atlanta has one of the densely populated cities with 3,188 people residing per square mile (“Atlanta population 2014”).
