(Super & Minor, 1975) Situation - It was a group project submission for business plan where we had to come up with a new plan and implement in our city. We had divided ourselves and given each of the person different tasks based on the person’s capability. I had as usual taken up my part as the market researcher. Task - The project very crucial and time bound. The submission date was closing by and we had yet been done with it. A lot work was still left to be done. My part was over so no one could question me, but two of our project members were seriously ill because of which we were running late. Since I am a person who always tends to meet the deadline, I had to get it done on time. Action - I had been sports team captain at school, where I loved the challenge and responsibility of leadership. So I volunteered to stand in, and took up the responsibility of finishing the project on time. The members who were sick gave their part to me and explained to me what needed to be done and how can we get it done. I took another person from the team to help me finish the project on time. Needless to say with the commitment and the support from my members I managed to finish their part on time and thus the project was completed and submitted on the day of the submission. Result - The project was a great success and it was one of best projects of our college. Since we got that recognition we also got a chance to present our business plan in front of the whole college. This way I proved my worth to my team members. With this approach I can narrate incidents like this to my interviewer and prove why I deserve this job more than anyone else.
