As a result, it has become imperative for the managers to support the employees working under them to efficiently handle work stress and also to maintain equilibrium between their work and life. This program is designed to train the managers to aid their workforces to achieve work-life equilibrium and hopes to accomplish the enhancement of the workload management skills of the managers. Course Syllabus The training module would be of the period of one day and would focus on the approaches a manager can take so as to enhance the work life balance of his employees in addition to enhancing his own.

Work- life equilibrium is a significant concern that requires substantial notice of the management of companies. Due to the altering characteristics of the global economy, there are several organizations that function on a 24/7 timetable. Moreover, the technological developments have ensured the possibility that the employees are connected and in many instances even carry their work home. Such developments have raised the probability and also the occurrences of instances of ‘burnt-out’ amongst employees (Schoenfeld, 2005).

Consequently, the work-life stability issue has become a major concern of the higher management of the business organizations. The objectives of the course would be to: 1) Provide the managers with a comprehension of the existing state of affairs in the work-life equilibrium research 2) Develop approaches to enable the managers to categorize the functions and activities of their employees which involve different extents of attention 3) Create a comprehensive understanding of workload management 4) To enable the managers to create an action plan for their organization designed for the development of improved living of the employees at work as well as at home (Harvey, Durrance & Couger, 2001) Course Outline The content of the training module for the managers would be designed utilising a comprehensive approach and practical techniques.

The outline of the course would be aligned with the objectives of the course keeping in consideration the existing scenario of the employees’ work-life equilibrium. The outline of the training module is a follows: 1. The theory of work-life equilibrium and its significance. 2. Assessment of the present work-life scenario in the organization and how it impacts the employees and the business as whole. 3. Comprehending the reasons for imbalance as well as the necessity of endorsing the employees’ work-life requirements. 4. Importance of the practices of goal setting as well as prioritising, and their role in reducing work related stress amongst the employees. 5. Self observation practice for the participating managers on what efforts they can make as employers to improve the work-life equilibrium of their work forces. 6. Stress management strategies to prevent ‘burnt-out’. 7. Practical ways to assist the employees handle their work pressure effectively. 8. Development of action plan for the improvement of the employees’ work-life equilibrium (British Council, 2011).

Lesson Plan The content of the training module would be delivered with the assistance of a combination of approaches, such as lectures, activities, discussions, role-plays, evaluations and the analysis of previous researches on the subject. The chief motive of all these approaches would be to facilitate the managers in the subsequent development of effective work-life equilibrium practices for their respective organizations.
