The history has been witness to gradual and abrupt climate change through the millions of years which has been responsible for the extinction of living organisms, including plants, animals and human life. The industrial revolution has been a catalyst to the exploitation of natural resources like coal, wood and other types of natural resources.
Generally, a corporate code of conduct has been proposed by the UN Human Rights Sub-Commission and its enforcement will bring about the desired changes in law and policy making (Ajunwa, 2007). With the implementation of the laws, illegal dumping of toxic wastes by the developed world can be cut down.
The media today is filled with news about the need for seeking alternative sources of energy to power cars (Facts on File, 25). The current outrageous increases in oil prices and the environmental concerns related to greenhouse gasses have rejuvenated public desire for alternatives to gasoline.
These natural phenomena almost always come unexpectedly, leaving people taken aback as they hit the land. Unlike birthday surprises, the effects they leave behind are traumatic; they cause people physical, financial, emotional, and psychological stresses. This observance became the basis of the existence of crisis intervention.

Public opinion polls in the United States over the years consistently have noted a high level of concern over implementing air pollution controls to guarantee healthy air. The Clean Air Act of 1963 was an early Congressional response to the public demand for a federal assistance to solve a policy issue that originally was considered to be a state and local problem.
It is essential to say that Earth does not comprise uniform layers. Instead, the layers are made up of tectonic plates that can move with respect to each other. When too much heat accumulates in the interior of Earth, it struggles to find its way out, and this has been happening ever since the creation of Earth.
To understand the radioactivity concept as a cause of heat production inside the Earth, let's refer to Rogers et al. who affirm that since the radioactive elements are incompatible, the radiogenic heat that is produced “per unit mass” of the crust is “one hundred times greater” than that produced in the interior.
The author explains that the area of the spill, which is located over a rather shallow aquifer, is at the headwaters of the Mississippi River and has a flow direction that tends in toward the St. Paul and Minneapolis population centers; and more immediately the town of Bemidji and its lake Lake Bemidji.
The subject of climate change has raised much attention around itself and had lead world governments and organizations towards initiating special programs and initiatives that would lower human impact on warming. While politicians and scientists argue, let’s take a closer look at this global issue, analyze the problem from different points of view.
Considering the world that we live in and the knowledge that we have today of our surroundings, no one can claim not to know the reality of the effects that the recent human developments are having on our environment. This has meant that the animals have been forced to find food sources in other places, namely the expanded cities themselves.

Carbon dioxide builds up in the atmosphere and increases global warming by locking in sunlight on earth like a greenhouse. This global warming is causing a rise in temperatures and bringing many changes in the weather patterns causing regular floods and droughts. Oil and natural gas also produce carbon dioxide which increases global warming.
The variety of the sorts of environmental pollution has ranged from minor to major since the earth, in itself, is a pollution purifier. A major addition to the air pollution has bee caused by the industrialization of societies and the foreword of vehicles that use motors. The reason also has been the sudden expansion of the population.
The major impact of the construction of Liujiaxia Hydropower Plant has been on the biodiversity and reservoir zone environment of the Kanbula Forest. Part of the dam has destroyed the natural habitat of the fauna of the forest and has caused the terrestrial and land plants to live in extremely stringent condition.
In addition to changes in sea levels, ocean currents, melting ice sheets and glaciers, and regional patterns of climate, the increase in temperatures also affects the water cycle. Drier areas get even drier with increased chances of drought and areas near the ocean or water sources get more humid and prone to rain.
The exotic flora and fauna of Madagascar include an estimated 200,000 plant and animal species, out of which three-quarters survive nowhere else on the globe. As many as 8,000 out of 10,000 native higher plant species are endemic. At the national and international levels, the Madagascar flora value is potentially immense.
According to the paper findings, it can, therefore, be said that rainfall and snowfall are both forms of precipitated water that settles on the ground. Although both rainfall and snowfall are equally associated with the cold and wet, there certainly are differences between them in terms of its formation and structure as well.
There are a number of serious threats facing the world today, but few are more serious than the problem of global warming, climate change, and environmental degradation. We desperately need our leaders to do something to slow down this negative process. President Barack Obama campaigned for his office saying he would be one of the greenest presidents in history.
The paper shows that warm air can hold more water than cold air. Dew point is a measure of temperature to which the present air must be lowered to become saturated -- holding all the water it can. The greater the temperature/dew point spread, the lower the amount of water in the air compared to how much it could hold.
While the atmosphere is composed of carbon dioxide, and it is something that humans and other living things do breath in at a constant rate, too much of it in our atmosphere is a bad thing. Carbon dioxide plays a vital role in the formation of greenhouse gases, herein creating the greenhouse effect.

It was in 1990 that Japan first made amendments in its environmental laws, including regulations regarding improvement of treatment facilities, restriction of emissions, restriction of waste, relief to waste pollution victims, restriction of land use and other issues.
The author states that large wood abundance in the watershed depends on channel size, channel type, and the surrounding riparian forest. LW is more abundant in small channels on a per unit area basis because LW is easily transported in larger channels; it follows that whilst abundance in large channels is lower, the average LW sizes are bigger.
The author states that Africa is currently facing a lack of freshwater, barren lands, deforestation, which has led to the extinction of different species of birds and animals. The trade of oil through the sea has resulted in water pollution. The waste from industries is disposed of in water, which has ruined the life of different species of fish.
Seasonal changes happen because of many things. The climate changes happen because of the tilt of the sun. Because of the way that the sun is tilted towards the earth, the season will change. As an example, in the summertime most of the areas that experience the heat experience it because the sun is the highest in the sky.
The author of the essay claims that our population levels are also at an all-time high and soon there will come a time when the planet can no longer support all its inhabitants. This would lead to resource wars, the collapse of law and order and a general decline in culture and civilization.
Human societies have depended on dams for irrigation, water supply, flood control, and power generation. As technologies and knowledge progressed, so did the scope of dam constructions; from the 1950s onwards, the growth of dam development has been very rapid and without due consideration to effects other than supposed economic gains.
Hybrids are most frequently gasoline-burning machines which use its electric bits to gather and reuse energy that is normally wasted in standard cars. It is reasonable that when the fewer burning of gasoline takes place then lesser will be the discharges and expelling put out by hybrid vehicles.
The author states that all volcanoes are very different and have different properties. Volcanic explosions can be both dangerous when lava covers everything, and peaceful when people can stand not very far and watch this phenomenon. The force of explosions usually depends on the lava’s properties.
Initially, the author disagrees with the concept of current occurrence of global warming, but as the results got more accurate and more funds were allotted to research on the intensity of warming. He stated that he never questioned the occurrence of global warming, which he firmly believes is not human-induced.
For society and culture in New Orleans to return to normal for future generations, these environmental issues must be understood and addressed, to prevent future illness, pollution, and unhealthy resources. The investigation of this topic will take place through research of the state of environmental health during and after Hurricane Katrina.
More than a hundred known species of bacteria and fungi play a role in the degradation of marine oil to usable components with the help of their enzymes (Patin, n.d). The hydrocarbons present in petroleum products are effectively degraded by various Pseudomonas and Penicillium species. The natural process of degradation of marine oil is time-consuming.
Generally speaking, it is really essential to state that in a country with the most diverse ecosystems including primary forests, beach, mangrove and marine and dubbed as one of the focal points of biodiversity in land and water in Southeast Asia, Philippines has no other choice but to save the environment.
The result of its work was the establishment of the United Nations Environmental Program with its tasks of Global Environmental Assessment(Earthwatch), Environmental Management, and Supporting Measures. Earthwatch contains monitoring and information exchange. There is the Global Environmental Monitoring System(GEMS) which includes health-related monitoring, climate-related monitoring, etc.
Respirators should be available for emergencies. Air purifiers should be installed to check foul smell emitted from chemicals and solvents besides maintaining a virus-free, well-ventilated workplace. Emergency equipment should be kept in a central location and must be inspected periodically by trained staff or members of top management.

The primary reason I agree with Mr. Borlaug is that I believe that GM crops are better for the environment insofar as if we were to meet today’s food requirements we would probably have to destroy a great deal of our nature to make way for more crops, and in my opinion it makes sense to try and get more out of less land.
The UK aviation industry confronts some serious environmental and social issues as a result of the daily activities undertaken by the airlines. Examples of these issues include climate change due to the emission of too many greenhouse gases that tend to destabilize the atmospheric compositions; noise from the aircraft; pollution of the local air quality; improper uses of surface access, etc.
Asbestos used to be an important industrial material. It could be found in paint and duct work because it is fire-resistant and flexible. It can be found in soil or rocks and used for a wide range of manufacturing goods. (Definition of Asbestos, 2001) “In fact, asbestos has more than 3000 known uses, including brake linings, fireproof fabrics, and heat insulators.”
Lovelock clearly says that the temperature of the earth will rise to remarkable levels and it will be a cause of deaths of about 90 percent of the people living on earth. He puts forward the explanation that there will be a widespread disaster in the form of severe food shortages, storms, and floods.
For each issue there is a list of recommendations of what to do, or to respect. It is situated somewhere between a checklist, with control questions and a performance list. The value of this type of document is not evident.based on Kohler’s hypothesis, and includes a review of BEQUEST framework, protocol and assessment methods for sustainable urban property development.
The author describes that the disaster was so huge that it expanded and took over other 20 storage tanks and the fire further spread. The horrible incident resulted in the combustion of that area for several days. The oil depot that was destroyed in that incident was one of the largest distribution terminals employed to store refined oil.

The author states that salamanders are insignificant agents as "sinks" for nutrients or as agents for nutrient cycling in the ecosystem. Calcium content of salamanders is greater than that of most of their invertebrate prey. Salamander tissue is higher in protein content than that of birds and mammals and represents a source of high-quality energy.
The recent news of severe storms ahead has raised the warning signal that global warming is the culprit behind the current storms, as researched by meteorologists. It is found that increase in temperature is the important reason of such random coming of storms. The after-effects of storms are floods, harming winds, hail, and tornadoes.
This report examined the issue of climate change in the Australian context. Specifically, it identified the ecological, economic and social impact of climate change that serve as basis for the recommended policy of increased Australian engagement and cooperation with multilateral efforts in addressing climate change.
The author explains that carbon dioxide emissions are those stemming from the burning of fossil fuels and the manufacture of cement. They include carbon dioxide produced during consumption of solid, liquid, and gas fuels and gas flaring. The average World Carbon Dioxide Emissions were 4.53 metric tonnes/capita in 2005.
