Free internet on Campus The Internet is arguably an indispensable tool in the s of learning. Mainly, the internet has enriched the students’ abilities to gather and share information. The capacity to use the internet is an important component of the higher education. The internet has increased collaboration between the teachers and the students with the intent of excelling in everything that pertains to the acquisition of knowledge. The instructors can schedule online meetings with the students without attending the physical classes. Innumerable institutions of higher learning have opened up free online courses and lessons for everyone. Similarly, the teachers utilize the internet to supplement their lessons. In essence, the internet has benefited education by opening up a substantial amount of knowledge to a broader range of students. Advancement in technology will compel the institutions of higher learning to broaden internet course and change the credentialing structures. It is, therefore, important for schools to introduce free internet on Campus. Through the introduction of free internet in Campuses, students will be able to access online courses provided by different universities. Some students cannot afford tuition fees charged by universities; therefore, by introducing online classes needy students will be able to get the learning using the school’s libraries. According to research 75% college students argue that university tuition is very expensive, and not everyone can afford it (Anderson et al n.d). It is, therefore, important for schools to introduce free internet and expand their online courses for such students. The introduction of free internet in campuses will also boost collaboration among students. The existence of online discussion among students will boost their cooperation, therefore by introducing free internet in schools all students will be able to participate in the discussions. The Internet has also broadened several sectors in US. Therefore, Campuses ought to introduce free internet as it will benefit students and country as a whole. Some of the sector that have improved include Libraries. Many libraries have adopted the use of the internet as they made it possible for students to access their collection of books online. Librarians also argue that the introduction of internet has made it possible for students to access information and it has also changed the way of doing research. Initially, students were required to go through the tiring process just to access books in the libraries (Bertot et al 2011). However, currently students can now access books through internet with ease. Therefore, by introducing free internet in schools students will now be able to do research in their schools. There are also different changes that have occurred in Campuses in the last few years due to the introduction of the internet. The Internet has enhanced the tutelage experience in campuses. Researchers argue that it is vital for college administration to embrace the use of internet in their Campuses. The researchers argue that internet has improved the way of life in many campuses. For instance, the combination of teaching and research can be tiresome to teachers (Breivik et al 2006). Therefore, the introduction and the use of internet has made teachers’ work easy, as they can now do online teaching by uploading information to students. It is also easy for teachers to communicate with students as many campuses have partnered with libraries. The introduction of internet has also altered how libraries are structured; it is now easier for libraries to preserve their collection and also track their budget. It is, therefore, important for campuses to enhance the use of Internet and provide free internet in the whole institution. Internet also has profound effects on the digital era in campuses and communication. Due to the changing world, many young people have turned to the use of the internet as a way to access information. Therefore, it is vital for campuses to introduce free internet especially journalism schools (Everette et al 292-317). Currently internet is the main means of communication among journalists; it has also made it easier for journalists to access information. Researchers argue that it would be sad if institutions do not embrace change and introduce free internet to students. They continue to argue that by not embracing the use of the internet, the institutions will be dragging the country behind in the realm of technology. It is also important for campuses to introduce free internet as many campuses use internet to deliver their content. Many teachers update their students about upcoming exams through internet. Teachers do this to make sure that students access them easily whenever they want to confirm about their upcoming exams. Initially, teachers would place such information on the notice board but the use of technology has changed made it easier for teachers to preserve information. The Internet has also made it easier for students as they can access some of the information through online (Edward 26 -27). Teachers use the internet to supplement their lessons as they can upload assignments for students. Students, on the other hand, can upload their assignments through internet, and they do not need to wait for office hours to deliver them. It is, therefore, clear that the use of internet has benefited both the teachers and the students in different campuses. The Internet has also had a constructive stimulus on students. The Internet has made it easier for learners to do their research. Initially, students used to go through a tiring process while doing their research; however the introduction of internet has made work easier. Students can now access to materials dating way back with ease by just going through the internet. The Internet has also boosted the intellectuals’ commitment height to information (Purcell et al n.d). Researchers argue that has had a positive impact on a huge percentage of students. Students’ way of collection of information has also been enhanced greatly. Many students are now able to do their research well; therefore it is important for classrooms to teach students to differentiate between quality information and unworthy information. To do this, campuses need to introduce free internet so as to enable the teachers’ to take students through this classes. The Internet has also enhanced the speed that students do their research. The Internet has also availed a large volume of information to students. Many campuses have embraced the use of the internet; it is, therefore, important for the institutions to introduce free internet so as all students could access (Simon 2014). Many campuses use internet to interact with their students about their different courses. Researchers also argue that instructors should work together to enhance education through technology. The use of internet in schools has also enhanced students’ cooperation. Teachers’ can now used different communal techniques to enhance students’ collaboration. Researchers argue that internet has enhanced the way of teaching some subjects especially mathematics. They argue that students can now focus, change their way of reasoning and also change their way of solving. The particular techniques have also changed the way students view mathematics, many students see mathematics as a hard subject. Therefore, the use of the particular techniques has greatly improved the students’ performance in the subject. Some states have also joined to form projects that promote the use of the internet as a way of enhancing education (Peter 203). Therefore, by introducing free internet, the Campuses will be fulfilling the initiative of projects such as EETT, of enhancing education. As much as there is much support for the introduction of free internet in campuses, there is also criticism of the particular idea. Those who oppose the particular idea argue that internet cannot solely enhance campuses. They argue that schools should be cautious when introducing the free internet to students. They continue to argue that internet can bring about social and political problem (Andrew 33). Therefore, teachers’ should not rely too much on it as a means of educating their students. Other critiques of the introduction of free internet also argue that socio-economic factors have implications on the internet. Researchers’ also argue learning institutions will have financial problems in the process of deploying technology (Andrew 49). They argue that schools will use a lot of money in the installation of free internet. They argue that sometimes the schools will look for ways to raise the money by raising their tuition money. Some researchers also argue that by introducing free internet in campuses, the institution will boost cases of campus unrest (Schapiro 2015). They argue that many students use the internet to abuse teachers and also other students. They continue to argue that the introduction of free internet will bring about insanity in campuses. Conclusion The Internet has positively impacted campuses, as it has enhanced learning. Students are now able to do their research fast; their skills of doing research have also been polished. Campuses have also introduced online courses whereby needy students can access educations. Due to these facts instructors need to encourage the use of internet in their schools to enhance learning.
