How do advanced technology and related forces of modernity operate in relation to culture? Inserts His/Her Inserts Grade Customer Inserts Tutor’s Name5 October 2011 Advanced technology and related forces of modernity must operate by incorporating various cultural values. The research focuses on the advantages of incorporating culture in the American marketing strategy using advanced technology and related forces of modernity such as internet selling. The research focuses on the local cultures in marketing the company’s advanced technology and related forces of modernity.

Diverse cultural values cause the American companies to incorporate the selected market segment’s culture in selling the company’s advanced technology and the related forces of modernity. Cultural values cause a significant effect on how advanced technology and related forces of modernity. Diverse cultures persuade management to incorporate the unique market segment in the company advanced technology and related forces of modernity’s operation. For example, the American company is persuaded to hire a Chinese sales person to sell the American made products to the current as well as prospective Chinese clients.

The use of a local resident to sell the American products in China will generate more sales than letting a Native American sell the imported American goods in China. The current and prospective Chinese clients will be more comfortable and trusting of a Chinese neighbor, relative, friend, or resident selling the benefits of imported American goods and services. The Chinese sales person can introduce the benefits of eating the Chinese version of the popular American hamburgers to the current and prospective local Chinese clients.

The Chinese would surely prefer hamburgers more if the modern technology and forces of modernity, known as fast food chain stores, sell the modern day hamburger and other fast food products and services (fast food chain selling versus the traditional style of Chinese food establishment) are handled or managed by Chinese employees of the McDonalds restaurant in China (Brandt 121). Using another cultural setting, it is very clear that culture must be incorporated in the marketing strategy of the American advanced technology and related forces of modernity to ensure a huge market share when venturing into the unknown global market place, Japan.

The American films, examples of advanced technology and related forces of modernity, can be easily accepted by the local residences in Japan by incorporating the Japanese culture. The American Film makers can penetrate the Japanese movie industry market by converting the American movies’ conversation pieces into Japanese voices. Likewise, the American movie makers can place Japanese word translation in the English –voices to ensure the movie goers understanding the movie’s story in Japan (White 199).

Further, gender culture causes advanced technology and related forces of modernity to incorporate gender issues. The incorporation of the gender culture will be more effective sales promoters. The American marketing firms can use a female television model to enumerate the many advantages of buying female –only products. The television audiences would find it very awkward to see a male television model selling the advanced technology and related forces of modernity of using a female –only product like breast cancer treatments (White 10).

Furthermore, religion culture causes advanced technology and related forces of modernity (selling religious eBook) to incorporate the religion culture to be more effective communicators. The American person should not give opinions that would give insults to the Jewish religion to the Jewish listener. The American person should not use tact when talking about the many miracles of Jesus Christ and Mother Mary to a Muslim listener. Likewise, the Jehovah’s Witness sales person must not theorize teachings of the Catholic Church are wrong to a devout Roman Catholic listener.

The United States- based marketing companies must use a Christian television model to sell the many advantages of buying the advanced technology and related forces of modernity known as the modern Christian ebook bible technology (Engebretson780). Failure to incorporate the market segments’ culture normally precipitates to failure. The English –speaking American cannot effectively sell one’s advanced technology and related forces of modernity (McDonalds fast food chain) in China because of the language barrier.

Using male sales persons to sell breast cancer equipment to the women may not be as welcome to the women buyers. Selling the modern ebook Christian bible technology to the Muslim person is a marketing blunder; Muslims use the Koran bible. Based on the above discussion, advanced technology and related forces of modernity must operating cultural values. The Chinese or Japanese culture causes the American company to incorporate the local culture in selling the American advanced technology and related forces of modernity in China and Japan.

The gender culture causes the American Companies to hire female television models to sell the many advantages of buying advanced technology and related forces of modernity products to cure breast cancer. The religion culture causes the American companies to incorporate delicate religious issues when selling the modern ebook bible technology to the religious members of the e Jewish, Roman Catholic or Jehovah’s Witness religious groups. Indeed, diverse cultural values cause the American companies to operate the implementation of advanced technology and the related forces of modernity to incorporate the target market’s unique culture.
