The Power of Education Introduction Education serves as an engine for economic growth through the utility of human capital. It is also associated with an increase in the ranks of social capital. Different nations have high budgets for education, with an aim of improving the status of the people in the community. The current educational status is due to a combination of socioeconomic factors. The educated people in the community seek to use their power in the resolution of common problems in the community. For the schooling system to be effective, it should focus on issues that solve the current problems in education. Education consists of learning opportunities that are available in both formal and informal settings. They occur in several areas in the community that includes community gatherings such as meetings. The national policies influence the learning opportunities through the development of reading policies that are effective for the community. This paper discusses the power of education and determines that accumulation of knowledge is necessary for growth and development. Education has a great influence on social-economic transformation. Discussion Education provides individuals with a considerable value. The geographical locations where there is a high investment on education have realized growth and development. Education influences the economy of a country in several ways. First, the expenditure by the educational institutions influences the local area economy. Secondly, people enhance their skills through education for the growth of their economic value (Brandit, p. 6). This leads to the literacy development of the individuals that relates to the value of the human capital resources in the economy. Organizations employ people with high educational values to enhance the state of their profitability. This is because the management of such individuals is easier because the level of training is minimal. The individuals have appropriate communication skills that lead to the effective management of the communications technology, to economic growth (Brandit, p. 8). The aim of education concerns the welfare of the community. If the level of education within a community is high, then there is a maintenance of the social welfare of humanity. For instance, through education, the creation of an effective community-policing program benefits the society. In addition, where the level of education is high, the people within the community realize the importance of dignity and respect for human beings. Education gives teachings based on the need to have human interdependence in the accomplishment of tasks. The common good teachings support the idea in that it advocated for the need to spread the advantages of working together in social groups (Pope, p. 118). This is relevant for social-economic growth through educating the community on the importance of pooling resources for a common goal. In education, social groups have a requirement of aspiring other social groups for purposes of sharing ideas for the benefit of the human family. In religious education, people have a responsibility of living in an environment that promotes justice and love. This encourages the enhancement of integrity within organizations that affects the socioeconomic concept in a positive manner. The Discourse Community Concept encourages the purpose of education. This occurs through advocating for training and acquisition of qualifications for social-economic development. Through education, the community has the ability to set common goals for the benefit of the society. Such goals include the need to have all the children get an education for future purposes (Wales, p. 119). If there is education in a given community, the communication level is likely to increase due to intercultural communication. This ensures that different people from different ethnic groups interact for purposes of sharing ideas in an effective manner. Such interaction creates business opportunities and through entrepreneurial education, people develop businesses for socioeconomic growth. The governments of different nations strive to put infrastructure that supports education. This is due to the importance of education in the provision of information for appropriate feedback from the community. The underestimation of information needs of the community leads to a less educated population that could have an adverse effect on the economy (Wales, p. 125). A discourse community develops some specific degree of education that people in the community need to attain. This ensures that most of the population receives a minimum education that could enable the creation of job opportunities rather than seek for employment. The educated people in the society strive to attain a certain level of status in the community. Such statuses include the ability to become sponsors in their field of specialization. Once they attain their status as sponsors, they develop great power through the level of their great wealth. This means that education has the ability to create richer people in the society with great knowledge. These people lend their wealth to high performers in the community and they ensure that they acquire the benefits of their success (Brandit, p. 10). The beneficiaries of such sponsorship pay for the gains either directly or indirectly through the association of credit. Through their education, the sponsors have the ability to write books, journals, and create television programs that educate and inform the society for a socioeconomic growth. They create the need of the society to have the ability to read and write for purposes of accountability in an organization. The people in the society that benefits from the sponsorship programs develop a critical understanding of the different needs of the community. Such people create solutions to their problems through the development of sustainability programs in relation to religion and the political movements. In a developed community, there is the creation of institutions that give authority on the management of education. Such authoritative institutions control the operation of educational institutions that ensure the endurance and development of education. The authorities that regulate the political and public amenities have established policies that support the community in socioeconomic development. For the common good of the society, it is important to exercise legitimate authority. Such provisions employ forums that are morally acceptable for the support of educational achievements. There is also the creation of legitimate political systems that encourage diverse political regimes that accommodate and considers the views and opinions of all people in the society. If there is a high level of education in a society, it enables the proper development practices from the political authorities (Curle, p. 18). These authorities limit the moral orders and the exercise of freedom in the community, in order to guarantee the success of education. The authorities also strive to ensure the formulation and implementation of policies that ensure the respect of the fundamental rights of the people in the community. Such respect of the rights of individuals in the society ensures the development of peace and stability for the support of economic activities. Conclusion Education is necessary for the growth and development of a community. It generates a specific behavior of the society through the acquisition of knowledge for socioeconomic growth. Education encourages diversity in the community that helps in the creation of sufficient conditions for business purposes. The people in the society benefit from the control of education from relevant authorities that ensure the provision of law and order. Education is a critical ingredient for the achievement of religious, economic, and political goals. It provides the community with the ability to read and write for efficient communication purposes. Through an efficient communication system, there is an effective flow of information made available through different media. Therefore, education has a great impact on the economic growth and development. There needs to be support from relevant institutions for the achievement of education through the accumulation of knowledge. Such education transforms the society in a positive manner for the benefit the economy and the future of different organizations. Work Cited Brandt, Deborah. The Sponsors of Literacy.
