It is evidently clear from the discussion that armed with the aggressiveness and fast-paced outlook prevailing outside the school premises, students these days resort to violence and chaos to resolve situations. The school is no more considered a safe zone for children who ironically are heavily dependent on the same to be contributory in shaping their lives. It is not as much about less brainpower or less intelligence as it is about choosing the wrong path and falling into unhealthy, dangerous habit patterns that have rung an alarm bell in the minds of most authorities.

Many instances of adolescent activities like violent fighting within or outside the school premises by the use of weapons, bullying, rape and in occasional cases even murder, have left the air restless and encumbered with a menacing premonition that such things are to continue if nothing is done in place to prevent them. The entire blame, to be fair, cannot be thrust on the children. Technology and its easy accessibility for students is one of the major reasons for the high rate of crimes committed by the juveniles these days.

Also, there are situations where the students themselves become victimized at the hands of the school authorities and helplessly continue to dwell in the trauma and anger of the injustice of it all. Be it due to their own thoughtless mistakes or their inability to free themselves from the cruel clutches of the school authorities, either way, they end up being the most affected in the whole scenario. The current essay is aimed at identifying those areas of the student-teacher juncture where there are many student problems either deliberately or inadvertently unheeded, student approach to situations or the need to control or rectify the same, student rights which have since long been denied or abused, and last, measures adopted to redeem the tarnished scenario.

Since American School Law is vast and has voluminous materials to read and discuss, keeping in mind the word limit I shall discuss student-related issues only from the perspective of their right to freedom of speech, expression, and privacy.
