Over time the human civilization expanded and like other animals man also used to transfer the learning to the next generation. Gradually, through the evolution of human civilization, for the sake of optimization, human society started to practice the distribution of labor. People started to specialize according to efficiency. In this process, a separate institute for transfer of learning was introduced and gradually the concept of education emerged. Now the question arises: what is education? In a wide sense, education is described as some act or experience that contributes positively to mind, character, intelligence, even physical ability.

That implies the consciousness of a child that is made through interaction with the environment. Education is a measure through which the accumulated knowledge, value and skills are transformed from one generation to another by society with the help of the institutions. (Kneller, 1971, pp.20-21) The main objective of education is to develop the personality of the child to make him aware of the environment and society to which the child belongs, to make him efficient to interact with the society and to deal with different situations through own intellect.

In this context, we can quote Ayn Rand “The only purpose of education is to teach a student how to live his life-by developing his mind and equipping him to deal with reality. The training he needs is theoretical, i.e., conceptual. He has to be taught to think, to understand, to integrate, to prove. He has to be taught the essentials of the knowledge discovered in the past and he has to be equipped to acquire further knowledge by his own effort.” (Yero, 2002)Bill Beattie described education as “The aim of education should be to teach us rather how to think, than what to think-rather to improve our minds, so as to enable us to think for ourselves, than to load the memory with the thoughts of other men.”
