 Schools Can Only Improve Children For Their Future By Helping Build A Solid Foundation Abstract: A school is the basis of a child’s eventual growth. This paper lists down the exact ways through which schools are thought to be better than homeschooling. How a school could lay the basis of a solid foundation is another tangent that has been touched within the length of this essay. The role of child-teacher linkage and the eventual effect of education in between is an important issue which has been discussed at stretch. Also consideration has been emphasized on the way parents have been able to play their due role within the midst of things. It is true that from a general standoff education pretty much plays a pivotal role in the development of any nation. This markedly sets the tone for the people to harness their skills and potentials which they are quite unaware of before they actually get out in search of educating themselves and their families. The reforms have to be brought from the top side of a nation, whereby the government needs to take bold steps to promote it no matter how hard it is on their budgets. Similarly, child development is a very significant aspect in the times of today. There is immense importance which is given to this subject. The basis is backed up with sufficient data and research which goes a long in establishing the fact that child development indeed owes a lot of attributes on the part of the people who are related with the child – the parents and/or its guardians. The aspects of love and training at the same time holds true for their balanced bringing up regime and this without a shadow of a doubt is a significant thing to comprehend in the related discussion. Schools are the true basis of a child’s educational and professional development, starting from a very young age and the manner in which this echoes in the form of a solid foundation in his adulthood is something to write home about. The claim for the thesis is justified in the light of schools acting as torchbearers in the times much like today. They have brought sanctity to the whole dynamic of educational training and imparting in a correctional setting. It is a matter of fact that the children who attend schools are better off than the ones who study within the four walls of their homes. The reasons could be manifolds for the same however what is important is to ascertain what forces these children to remain within their homes and not go to schools at all? The reasons are immensely different from one another. These could include their parents’ financial conditions, their lack of access to proper schooling regimes, absence of any schools whatsoever or non-granting of admission to schools to name a few. Now we move further ahead and pinpoint our essay on the issue of whether a child should attend a school or not? The answer to this question is in the affirmative as the parents have to comprehend that admitting a child in a school is for their own good as well as for their young ones. The kids start learning from a very young age and it is understandable that no parent would want his child to lag far behind the other children in the society or city for that matter. The school ensures that the kids learn the basics of schooling right from the very beginning and they are taught the most basic of activities, habits and manners right from the start. This also guarantees that the parents are lessened of their responsibilities, though to a small extent since they have to look after the chores of their homes as well. Schools act as significant role-playing instruments within the growth and developmental regimes of the students. The manner in which the difference is brought to the fore is another pertinent consideration, and one that has a lot of bearing on the way these students conduct themselves within the global dynamics. On the part of the child who is being looked after and taught at the school, it is made sure that he starts interacting with the young ones of his age and friends are created all this while, which when seen in the proper perspectives, is something of a healthy exercise. The school makes sure that the young ones get to learn easily and in a quick manner without any such hiccups happening at a very young age. (Fabry, 2001) At school, he is provided mentoring as well as training on different subjects while at home, there are serious issues as regards to a student’s timely coaching and getting acquainted with the educational norms. Mentoring helps in understanding what the psyche of the student is and how he will cope up with pressure in the form of projects, assignments and exams. The same is however a missing link within the home schooling domains. If proper measures are not adopted with respect to the training and education at the school then these children will be somewhat misaligned from the actual subject and the result eventually will be one that does not support the ones under education or the people who are actually striving to bring in a change. (Wang, 2001) It is not only the responsibility of the teachers who are imparting education to get on the right track but it is imperative on the part of the state machinery to act in unison so that a difference could be brought right from the very onset of these reforms and hence the mission itself that has to bring about a difference, not only in the educational levels of the people but also their awareness, intellect and thinking capabilities and all these actually are real significant in the longer duration of one’s life. Schools not only boost up the educational inoculations within the minds of the young ones but also take care of the developmental regimes of the young ones – a fact that is appreciated by parents and the kids themselves too. They provide a source of fun, learning and manners – all combined into a single entity. It is a matter of fact that being literate in the current times facilitates one self in estimating what life is bringing for a person. It opens up his range of options and presents to him ideas out of the box as well. What this does is to make him do the analysis in a straight forward manner. No analysis is possible without getting to know the facts first of all. If a person is literate and understands the norms that are taking place within his life or generally, he will get to know what the strengths of the same undertakings are and how it would affect his own live as well as the ones whom he loves and takes care of. He gets to inquire the weaknesses present with the knowledge that he has obtained over a certain period of time and thus weighs them in light of the strong points that were previously ascertained by him in due course of time. In the world of present times, being literate means that a person is talked of in a high and esteemed manner. He is given respect by one and all since he can understand the difference between the good, the bad and the ugly. (Burke, 2003) He has sense problems where the illiterates could think merry. He can make out for the troubles that lie ahead in different situations through his sheer ability of forecasting and visualization. He can look at the missing links better than an average man. He can understand his own psyche, individual basis and the manner under which he exists within the tenets of the society. He knows who he is and what is expected of him. He can create links with each other on the basis of his literate self and his education speaks for his own self in terms of his dressing, the way he meets strangers and new people, the way he eats and dines, the manner in which he greets people and so on and so forth. (Smith, 1949) The differences seem to become apparent more often than not and this is something that is apparent within a person who is literate and who knows how to comprehend difficult circumstances with easy measures. More than anything else, it is his resolve that remains firm at the best of times and he remains committed to his world of ethics and morals since this is a very quintessential step in the wake of his different undertakings, measures and behaviors in the world that he lives in. Thus the claim for the thesis in this paper is significant within this discussion since schools signify mental and physical development, youth related acumen and professional mannerisms, essential capacity building within the kids and the strengths that make up the individual in the long run. Schools are important because these work under the governmental bodies bringing out the generally accepted curricula for the development of the students, the training of the teachers and the overall feel related with the schools in entirety. On the other hand, the homeschooling mechanisms have a linkage of parents and students whilst being their wards while at schools, the environment is wholly different. The former provides the young ones isolation from a school environment and hence the child’s upbringing is affected in a very negative manner. Within a school, he interacts with the students around him, is looked after by the teachers and is generally assisted in his curriculum in more ways than one. There is actually quite a good amount of training and mentoring going on behind the scenes. At home, the aspect of guidance from others is also present but then again these other people could mean disaster for the young mind (kid) and thus could play havoc with his upbringing regimes. It is best that he stays at school and enjoys the schooling that is imparted to him through the norms and procedures followed in nearly all the developed societies of the world. Schools can play an important part in letting the students decide what is good for them in the long run and how they will mold their lives in such a manner which will ultimately help them take on the challenges of the future. The elements of mentoring, training and practice embody the exact basis of growth and development – indeed needed within the global domains of imparting education and then empowering the students to decide for their own selves what is the best route forward (for them). In the end, the thesis gives enough food for thought that a school is a heavenly destination for any youngster. He gains so much that it is difficult to express in the form of words alone. Also it is pertinent to understand here the fact that the school only improves the child in his future life since he has had a solid basis and foundation on which he has build his personality with the passage of time.
