Lecturer: Teaching Activity and Reflection Learning theories are conceptual frame work that tries to explain how information is processed retained and absorbed during learning process. This project intends to objectively reflect on such theories in relation to carrying out a difficult activity like tennis juggling. Juggling a tennis ball is not simple as such it requires the use of learning theories that will be well integrated with proper use of teaching methods that will fully enhance learning ,understanding and assimilation of knowledge.

The main theories that would be included in this skill acquisition includeBehaviorismThis theory is based on change of knowledge through stimulus which is controlled .For knowledge to be acquainted this way, it requires the use of an instructor who must be ready to demonstrate factual knoeledge,measure observe and modify behavior change in a specified direction. Conditioning reinforces behavior through reflex response to stimulus and if antecedents follow a behavior, it leads to consequences including reinforcement, reward and punishment.

CognitivismThis is a learning theory that is composed of adoptive learning techniques, structure organization procedures, recognition, creation, reflection and evaluation. It developes conceptual knowledge procedures and techniques and solve problems using mathematical intelligence.HumanismThis theory is based on generation of knowledge and expertise through interpersonal relations. It is a self directed learning and therefore it calls for motivation, decision making, personal integration and self evaluation.

The chief goal of this theory is becoming self motivated with intrinsic motivation which comes from within a person and acts as driving force to accomplish acquisition of skills (Overbaugh and Lin).Juggling Tennis It is possible now for me to train learners important skills on how to play and juggle a tennis ball. This can be done effectively by following the following procedure.ExplanationThis is an important introductory step that involves capturing the attention of the student by a way of giving important information on what is required during the activity.

It also includes provision of useful steps to be followed. So as a Trainer I will make sure that I have made my learner to understand the guidelinesDemonstration At this stage I will practically show the students what to do by using my own skills to make sure that they understand. Demonstration will involve the following instructions:Obtain suitable ballI will toss one ball for a while to get the feel of juggling.Then I scoop the ball simply by scooping, or dipping, my hand before tossing the ball.

Then i take one ball in each hand. Toss ball A, and when it reaches the top of its arc, I toss ball B.Participation and EvaluationAt this stage I will let the trainees to practice the skills I have taught them by offering tem balls while I will walk around observing and correcting mistakes made by them.To conclude the challenges faced would include lack of suitable tennis balls, poor mastery of skill taught, poor concentration by students and lack of interest to play. Finally there would be lack of motivation if the learners are not reinforced.
