In the process I ended up forgetting my culture and assimilated the American culture of most of my friends. I got so much into the culture that I even forgot to speak my language. I started to fancy western music and art and I was at the verge of completely forgetting what Chinese art looked like and what Chinese music sounded like.
America is also in a position to help other countries with its wealth and knowledge, but only if its government is able to treat those from other cultures with respect. One of the most interesting facts that I have learned in the last few weeks, is the way that America was first created by a mixture of different peoples.
