Aldrin, Emma (mail alem@preastwood.hollywood.com) Sent: Thursday, October 4, 2:00 PM Aldrin, Emma Clint and Diana Eastwood File for Legal Separation After 17 Years of Marriage FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 4, 2013 No. 300 www.prestwood.hollywood.com Clint and Diana Eastwood File for Legal Separation After 17 Years of Marriage Veteran actor and director Clint Eastwood and his second wife Diana have filed for legal separation after seventeen years of marriage. In Monterey court papers filed before the California courts on Thursday, Diana requested that she be granted spousal support and and physical custody of their 16 year old daughter Morgan. Mr. Eastwood is not expected to contest the filing as their marriage is covered by a pre-marital agreement.

The couple wish to keep their legal proceedings as quiet and private as possible. In a joint statement the Eastwoods asked that the press: “Respect our privacy as a family during this time. We are separating on the most amicable of terms and look forward to co-parenting our daughter Morgan in the future. We will always look upon each other fondly and dearly because of the special bond that Morgan brings to both of us.” Eastwood was previously married to Maggie Johnson for more than 30 years before he entered into a long term relationship with actress Sondra Locke prior to his marriage to Dina.

This is the first marriage for Dina. -30- Contact: Alfred Jones / Emma Aldrin (202) 346-5901 From: Prentice, Miranda (mailto: premin@fashion.nycweek.com) Sent: Thursday, October 4, 2013 2:00 PM To: Prentice, Miranda Subject: Fashion Week May Permanently Change Venues, Could Head to the Hudson Yards FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE October 4, 2013 No. 301 www.nycweek.com Fashion Week May Permanently Change Venues, Could Head to the Cuture Shed at Hudson Yards In a move designed to give Fashion Week a new home, new look, and perhaps influence a whole new generation of young designers, the event organizers are looking towards moving the venue of the shows from their constantly changing New York stage out to the Hudson Yards.

Women's Wear Daily reports that Fashion Week may have found its new home at The Culture Shed at Hudson Yards. In an official statement to the press, New York Fashion Week event organizer Marcia Bradley explained that, “The biannual gathering of designers, labels, models, and fashionistas is looking to have a more permanent home at the The Culture Shed from its current home at the Lincoln Center.” The event was held previously at Bryant Park in 2009. Jay Cross, president of Hudson Yards also explained that “Fashion Week needs a permanent home and Hudson Yards is willing to offer the fashion crowd that home.

”The new venue will boast of four runways, indoor and outdoor space, and cost about $300 million. The 26 acre underdeveloped Manhattan property is located between 10th and 12th avenue from West 30th to 33rd Streets. The Culture Shed is expected to be ready to host the first catwalk in 2017. -30- Contact: Michael Jones / Miranda Prentiss (204) 890-2345 Reaction to a Press Release The press release that I am reviewing for this class is the National Parks Conservation Association press release on “Government Shutdown Closes Parks Nationwide”.

It was released on October 1, 2013 and discusses the reasons behind the park shutdown and the various reactions in protest of the government action. A result of the continuing deadlock in government budget negotiations in Washington. Quotes in the statement include one issued by the National Parks Conservation Association which condemns the act of park closure and their wish to have the parks re-opened at the soonest possible time as the shutdown has negatively impacted the revenue and tourist activity in various states across the country.

Overall, it was a consice and succint press release that gave people all the information they need to know about how the actions in Washington have affected the national parks and local economies alongside their cry for an end to politics holding the nation hostage in their power play. It was highly engaging to read as the press release also leaves the reader asking some questions about what is going on in Washington and the need to care and prepare for whatever repercussions the selfish act of these politicians will have upon the citizens of America.
