Proposal A Bioskin facade Bioskin façade is a new technology where a water cooling façade system is utilized in making the building absorb heat through water evaporation through water evaporation. The concept is based on the traditional ritual of Uchimizu. The ritual was a way to curb the dust around their houses by sprinkling water around them. The technology has been established as a way to reduce the exterior temperature of the building by 12 degrees and the micro environment by 2 degrees. It is a technology that is described as elegant and simple. This technology is a solution to the energy used in the proposed buildings for cooling. The technology works with the use of a piped network which engulfs the entire building. As the water moves in the system it evaporates cooling the surrounding while absorbing the heat. The water used will be collected from the rooftop, piped to storage facilities where it is sterilized and pumped back up in the system. Rainwater perforates outward through the permeable ceramic, disappearing from the pipe’s exterior, cooling the adjoining air. Excess water is then sapped down to the soil of the proposed building to the degree possible, annealing the water cycle and reducing the load on sewage base. Bioskin use is an inventive technology with substantial implications which will give the proposed structure a topnotch recognition in the engineering industry. The innovation has a number of advantages and a few disadvantages just to mention (see fig 1). Figure 1 Advantages Disadvantages Bioskin reduces the energy used in buildings for cooling equipment exponentially making it an innovation to adopt in reducing the carbon emissions. The building becomes an ecological monument bettering the environmental conditions. The building aesthetics are to die for since it complements the entire structure in elegance The only disadvantage the system has is the delicate nature. Read More
