Looking backward to create the future Dame Vivienne Westwood is an English fashion design largely attributed with modern punk and new wave fashions in the 21st century. She is an icon in the fashion industry and for forty years, she has been the queen of experimental cutting that combines innovation and tradition. Her elegant collection has been top on catwalks in Paris, London and Milan. She is very creative, and her fashions are ahead of her time. Westwood’s view of fashion has a great influence worldwide (Mc Neil, 2014).
She holds the notion that one lives a much better life if they dress remarkably. People pass judgment by looks and the better one dress; the more opportunities come their way. She describes femininity as the art of men dressing as women and putting on makeup and accessories while women wearing men’s attires. Her advertisements and photos of different types of short skirts and shorts have had a negative impact on culture and dress code. Many people across the globe have imitated her ignoring their values norms and cultures.
Her attitude has subjective women to dress seductively and not attractively. She also attributes wearing high heels to power. Women on heels are more attractive and appealing than those on flat shoes. Her types designed high heels are with spectacular heels shapes. In this essence, many women today are always in high heels bearing in mind the health complications they pose. Westwood designer clothes are available worldwide and can be purchased online. Her contribution to the recycling of safari tents and creating employment from the same shows her concerns towards the underprivileged.
