Big Sky Big Money - Movie Review Example

Elections, after all, are funded by corporations and big money and this explains why public officials are often hesitant to move against the big business because they have a debt of gratitude or vested interests. This practice defeats democracy of making the true will of the people prevail. In effect what happens now is that it is those who have the money and connections who can win an election. In fact, the results are now dictated by money. The advertisements peddle the candidates as if they are products and are pushed to our face by the constant barrage of advertisements that is afforded by money.

Democracy now is reduced to popularity contest that it made me wonder after watching the documentary whether we still are a truly democratic country as what the forefathers of this country have envisioned this country to be.
