This dissertation is going to deal with the Five Star Hotels in Hanoi, Vietnam and analyze what these hotels have to offer their customers.
Vietnam which is a developing country is located in South East Asia, part of Indochina and has a very long border by the sea. The country is benefited by the warm and embracing climate and has a host of UNESCO heritage sites scattered across the length and breadth of the country. Because of these wonderful qualities, Vietnam attracts a good share of tourists to enjoy its tropical climate but also it. However, Vietnam does not enjoy a competitive edge over other rival destinations such as Thailand and Singapore where the climate is concerned. In short, what makes Vietnam stand apart or distinguishes it from others is its rich cultural heritage and interesting history of the Vietnam War and the country’s unification which followed in 1975. 
Present day Vietnam is considered to be one of the most attractive destinations in South East Asia, besides the fact that it had been under communist rule for so many years. It has made its mark on the map of the world by surprising it with its unstoppable economic growth pushing the tourism industry further towards a significant positive switch since 1994.
In days gone by, Vietnam was a war-ravaged country that was torn between France and America. After a great struggle and with endless perseverance, it proudly gave them a crushing defeat in two successive wars and thus gained their much sought after independence.
