My travels around the world My journey has started from Abu Dhabi, UAE on March 1 2013. I have traveled to France and stayed in Paris for a week. After that, on March 8 2013, I went to the Madrid in Spain where I have been staying for 3 days, before going to Barcelona. Also, I have been staying there for 3 days. On March 15, 2013, I arranged for my next trip to Roma the capital of Italy, where I have spent 5 days. Finally, I went back to Abu Dhabi and on my way back, went to KSA, Makah to perform Omrah on March 20 2013. I have been there for 10 days, before returning to Abu Dhabi on March 30, 2013. On the first day, I have arrived by plane from UAE to Paris, taken my bags and then went to the hotel. I have arranged my room before sleeping. On the second day, I went to the Montmartre area to see the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur, and walked up to the metro that would take me to the Eiffel Tower. Going up the tower for a full view of the city is a prime Paris tourist activity. At night, I have taken dinner then made my way over again to see the beautiful Eiffel Tower at night. At night, the Eiffel Tower, with its lights, is a beautiful sight to behold. The next day I have gone to the Louvre for an afternoon of art, culture, and history. I have taken lunch at the food court in the Carrousel du Louvre under the glass pyramid. The next item on my itinerary was to go up to the second most famous places in Paris, the Arc de Triomphe, for a panoramic view of Paris. On the fourth day, I have stayed at the hotel because I was very tired. In the next two days, I have gone to the Shanzelize Street to do some shopping. On March 7 2013, I have stayed at the hotel to pack. On March 8 2013, I arrived by plane in Madrid, took my bags to the hotel and went to sleep. The next day, I went to the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and chose this Museum because it has covered more contemporary art periods. I then walked up to Parque Del Retiro, one of the best city parks I have ever seen. It is very beautiful. In Parque Del Retiro, there are statues, a lake with boating, all of kinds of plants and flowers and plenty of places for sitting and relaxing. The next item on my itinerary was to go up to the Plaza Mayor. Plaza Mayor’s inside is an open area, inspires amazement, and has buildings which are well maintained. I have then arrived by train in Barcelona, taken my bags and gone to the hotel. I have arranged my room and then went to sleep. On the second day, I have gone to the Church of the Sacred Family. The church is really special, because it looks like a very big piece of art. I have then walked up to Guell Park which has to be the most amazing park in the world. On March 13 2013, I have gone to Casa Batllo. This house is simply magical and I would love to be there again. After this, I have gone to La Pedrera, spent around 2 hours looking at all the different aspects of architecture trying to integrate nature into his buildings. I have arrived by plane in Rome on March 15 2013. In the first two days, I have stilled at the hotel to relax and in the third day, go to the Coliseum. The Coliseum has been a fantastic place. I have then walked up to Piazza San Pietro, a large and impressive place. On the next day, have I gone to the Vatican City for the historical and aesthetic reasons. After that I go to the Via Veneto, a famous street in Rome with several good hotels. There are also some good stores there. On the last day, I go to the Piazza di Spagna, but get a bit disappointed because there is nothing special in it. After that, I return to the hotel. Summary My journey started from UAE in Abu Dhabi, before I went to Madrid and Barcelona. I then went to Abu Dhabi and then Makah, to perform Omrah. On average, I have spent 3 days on every stop in every major city. In Paris for example, I have visited the Montmartre area to see the Basilique du Sacré-Coeur, and the Eiffel Tower. In Madrid, I have visited Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum and Parque Del Retiro. Again, in Barcelona, I have visited the magnificent Church of the Sacred Family, the Guell Park and Casa Batllo. I have also acquainted myself with La Pedrera and its different aspects of architectural designs. In a nutshell, my journey has been good. Travelling from Abu Dhabi to Paris, Madrid, Roma and Makah has taught me about the beauty that graces the world. The same has also taught me that different cultural values, architectural designs and artistic expressions and constructions grace different parts of the world. Because of this, I have come to learn that one community or geographical region cannot be used as a yardstick to measure the other. As I have journeyed from UAE, Paris, Madrid to Barcelona, cultural practices and values have also become manifest in hotel room arrangements and interior decorations and cuisine. Read More
